Executive Director Indotextiles, Redma Gita : "The increase in basic electricity price even below 10% for the industry will become a new burden for the textile industry, but if it was followed by the elimination of tariff Multiguna and Dayamax, the competition among the domestic textile company would be more fair"

Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) is committed to supporting the development of the fashion industry as one of the creative industries in Indonesia . This is as expressed by the Marketing Communications Division, BRI, Firman Taufick on Saturday (11/14) in Press Conference at the Jakarta Fashion Week (FJW) 09/10 at Pacific Place Jakarta.

"Basically we are ready to support the development of a bankable industry, like the fashion industry largely in the category of SMEs (Small Medium Enterprises) which is the core business of BRI," he said.

Firman added that the bank BRI as entrenched in the micro-banking, seeks to expand service to urban areas.

"Through the fashion show has always done in urban center, we are trying to get closer to the urban communities and supporting products in big cities," he explained.

In the same place, Poppy Dharsono as a representative from designers asked the BRI to support Indonesia 's fashion industry by facilitating disbursement of fund to the designers.

"We ask a commitment from the BRI to support Indonesia 's fashion, given many talented designers are stumbling capital problem," she said.

Poppy also said that she is able to give recommendation for the talented fashion designers.

In addition, BRI in cooperation with the Nurani Budaya Indonesia Foundation is organizing training in order to maintain the Kanoman batik from Cirebon as the batik is almost extinct.

”We do the training for the Kanoman batik not extinct. In fact, currently only five people who could make it," she explained.

BRI Siap Dukung Industri Fesyen Nasional
