The government launched year of 2009 as the Year of Creative Industry. One of the developing creative industries is the local clothing and distributor and outlet or known as “distro”. Started at 1990s, the distro developed.
“Until now, there are 1,000 companies of clothing and distro and they are spreading out in 94 cities across Indonesia ,” said Ade Adriansyah, the Chairman of KICK (Kreatif Independent Clothing Kommunity). To accommodate a creativity potential of clothing industry and distro, in 22-22 November 2009, the Kickfest was held at the Sasana Budaya Ganesha (Sabuga) Bandung . In 2009, the Kickfest has been held in three times. With the tagline of “Speak Loader”, this event was held in two cities, in Bandung and Yogyakarta . For the first event in Yogyakarta, 170 exhibitors joined in the show and Kickfest in Bandung was followed by 130 exhibitors from well known clothing industries and distros. “Not all clothing industry and distro can join in the Kickfest because there is a screening process by KICK,” Joseph Siddi, KICK Event Coordinator, said. “The criteria [of screening], i.e. age of company must be at least 4 years, has same vision that is not only selling but more than attitude, and supporting value of originality”, he added.*** Kickfest, ajang kreasi clothing dan distro Pemerintah mencanangkan tahun 2009 sebagai tahun industri kreatif. Salah satu contoh industri kreatif yang saat ini berkembang adalah industri clothing lokal dan distro. Berawal dari tahun 90-an distro mulai berkembang. “ Sampai saat ini jumlah clothing dan distro mencapai 1000 perusahaan yang tersebar di 94 kota di seluruh Indonesia”, unkap Ade Andriansyah, Ketua KICK (Kreatif Independent Clothing Kommunity). Untuk mewadahi potensi kreatifitas industri clothing dan distro, 20-22 November 2009 diadakan Kickfest di Sasana Budaya Ganesa (Sabuga) Bandung. Tahun 2009 merupakan tahin ketiga penyelenggaraan Kickfest. Dengan tagline “ Speak Louder “, ajang ini digelar di dua kota yaitu Yogyakarta dan Bandung. Pada gelaran di kota pertama, Yogyakarta diikuti oleh 170 booth exhibitor, sedangkan di kota penutup rangkaian Kickfest 2009, Bandung diikuti oleh 130 booth dari clothing dan distro ternama. “ Tidak semua clothing dan distro bisa ikut Kickfest, karena ada proses screening dari KICK”, ungkap Joseph Siddi, Event Coordinator KICK. “ Kriteria itu antara lain usia eksistensi perusahaan minimal sudah 4 tahun, memiliki visi yang sama yakni tidak sekedar jualan, tapi lebih dari attitude, serta menjunjung nilai originalitas”, tambahnya.*** |
