Maybe his name is not as famous as batik or other distinctive fabrics, colors and patterns of fabric also has a particularly special meaning, just like the fabric. However, this fabric has other peculiarities, namely the color. Craft of weaving from Buton in Southeast Sulawesi is named the same as the regions, namely weaving Buton. Characteristic of this lies in the color weaving, in contrast with fabrics such as batik softer more colorful, woven Buton has a bolder color.

Regarding style, similar to batik fabric that has meaning, the style of weaving also has its own meaning, but usually depicting natural objects they found in the vicinity. Examples motifs inspired Betano walona koncuapa of fine ash hovering result when open field burning bush, colo makbahu motive or wet matches, motive bongko pomegranate (pomegranate rotten), Papua pomegranate motifs, and so forth.

According to him, the average weavers in old age, it also makes it more and want to maintain Buton weaving. According to him, when people struggle to know how the weavers are to be able to sell their products, the price offered will be worth it. "To sell the fabric, they take approximately 7 hours using a landline to Baubau, after the six hours back by ship, after it was new to Jakarta to Kendari, the track," he explained.

Julfan storytelling, weaving originated from the habit of using Buton in the neck, the way a lot of people are asking if it is, and where it came from the woven fabric. From there eventually Julfan with a capital of Rp 1 million intend to continue to preserve the culture of Buton. However, the man born Buton was not satisfied with the way this time, until finally he intends to add value to the Buton woven fabric by making it into a product that is known throughout Indonesia and even to the whole world.

Thanks to his hard work, his work can now be marketed to overseas. Countries Germany, France, Brunei is a country that most requests. "We also worked with the Embassy in Venezuela. Abroad once they really like this fabric, to the bigger market there than in their own country," he said.

"Turnover month can Rp30 million to Rp40 million for the fabric alone, but sandals and shoes, and others could reach Rp70 million. Sake of introducing the products I still follow the exhibitions, to the mall, and cooperate with boutiques," he explained .Demi follow current developments, since three years ago he was doing marketing through online media. Facebook chooses to be a means of introduction to the Buton tanun abroad.
