Government investigating reports of thousands textile workers laid off PDF Print E-mail

Manpower (Kemenaker) claimed to have received reports about many textile factories in Majalaya, Bandung regency, West Java, which lay off employees. Currently Kemenaker already deployed a team to the field to check directly.

 

"I again checked, so do not know. After waiting for information from the department in Majalaya, these textile mills, still checking," said Director General of Industrial Relations and Social Security (PHI and Jamsos) Kemenaker Irianto Simbolon

 

He promised next week a report from the team was able to get out. Irianto said, according to the provisions of the entrepreneur or the owner of the factory should be reported to the local labor department related policies about industrial relations such as laying off up to termination of employment (FLE) employees.

 

Irianto appealed to businessmen do stages in accordance with the status of employees when there are internal problems in the company, among other first reduce working hours, reduced overtime, suspended some production lines, laying off temporarily, to make layoffs a last resort.

 

"We always ask to businesses not directly laid off," he said.

 

Associated with the policy of laying off employees, a worker is still entitled to receive the full basic salary. But for allowances not fixed, there could be a reduction because the consequences of not come to work due to be laid off.

 

 

Pemerintah investigasi laporan ribuan pekerja tekstil dirumahkan

 

 

Tenaga Kerja (Kemenaker) mengaku belum mendapatkan laporan soal puluhan pabrik tekstil di Majalaya, Kabupaten Bandung, Jawa Barat yang merumahkan para karyawannya. Saat ini Kemenaker sudah menurunkan tim ke lapangan untuk melakukan pengecekan langsung.

 

"Saya lagi cek, jadi belum tahu. Lagi nunggu informasi dari dinas di Majalaya, ini pabrik-pabrik tekstil, masih dicek," kata Dirjen Pembinaan Hubungan Industrial dan Jaminan Sosial (PHI dan Jamsos) Kemenaker Irianto Simbolon

 

Ia berjanji pekan depan laporan dari tim sudah bisa keluar. Irianto mengatakan, sesuai ketentuan para pengusaha atau pemilik pabrik harus melaporkan ke dinas tenaga kerja setempat terkait kebijakan soal hubungan industrial seperti merumahkan hingga pemutusan hubungan kerja (PHK) karyawan.

 

Irianto mengimbau agar pelaku usaha melakukan tahapan sesuai ketentuan terkait status karyawan bila ada masalah di internal perusahaan, antara lain terlebih dahulu mengurangi jam kerja, mengurangi jam lembur, menghentikan sebagian lini produksi, merumahkan sementara, hingga jalan terakhir melakukan PHK.

 

"Kita selalu meminta kepada pelaku usaha jangan langsung di-PHK," katanya.

 

 Terkait dengan kebijakan merumahkan karyawan, seorang pekerja tetap berhak menerima penuh gaji pokoknya. Namun untuk tunjangan-tunjangan tak tetap, bisa saja ada pengurangan karena konsekuensi dari tak masuk kerja akibat dirumahkan.
