The Ministry of Industry (Ministry of Industry) encourages the textile industry and textile products (TPT) as well as the footwear industry to spur export sales this year. The Ministry of Industry has prepared a stimulus for the industry.

Director General of Chemical Industry Textile and Miscellaneous (IKTA) of the Ministry of Industry, Harjanto said, there are some stimulants that have been prepared by the government for the textile industry and textile products (TPT).

First, to give additional incentives in the form of convenience gets textile raw materials and textile products and footwear. Second, provide ease of access to financing as mandated by the Act (Act) No. 3 of 2014 regarding Industry.

Third, build a buffer stock of cotton and leather industry. Fourth, inter-ministerial coordination in order to promote domestic trade.

"Fifth, the Ministry of Industry will open up opportunities for cooperation Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with countries which can absorb the garment and footwear products," he said in a written statement in Jakarta, Tuesday (05/26/2015).

Special FTA, further Harjanto, Ministry of Industry has confirmed the government's commitment to establish partnerships that provide maximum benefit to the national industry. This strategic move into the solution to deal with the second condition is that the middle stagnant industry.

However Harjanto stressed that this condition is temporary alias seasonable and experienced by the textile and footwear industry-oriented domestic sales. "By contrast, sales of both export-oriented industries actually improved and become a counterweight," he continued.

Harjanto reveal the cause of the slowdown is due to the exchange rate of the US dollar against the rupiah continued to strengthen from the beginning of this year. It is certainly an impact on many industries that import raw materials such as textiles and textile products.

Besides rising prices of energy such as electricity and labor costs are increasing the burden of labor (labor cost) which affects mainly the textile industry like garment is labor-intensive industries.

However, Harjanto optimistic, the situation is temporary and turn improving over the budget began to flow liquefaction and working on infrastructure projects since the first quarter of 2015 to the end of the year that encourages a multiplier effect in the form of rising purchasing power.

"In addition, the level of consumption in the fasting month and Lebaran one-two months are expected to encourage sales of apparel and footwear products," he said.

Kementerian perindustrian Siapkan Stimulus
