Raw materials of Weaving Jepara Still Depending Import From India PDF Print E-mail

Chairman of the Cooperative Association of Textile and Garment Weaving Troso Jepara Fahrudin Amin said most producers still rely Jepara troso fabric imported from India because of domestic products less suitable and inelastic.C rafter Troso Jepara still rely on raw materials from India and affected the rupiah continued to weaken against the dollar.

 

"The increase in the dollar has resulted in a decline in production by 40 percent," he said

 

According to him,  stock fabrics from many vendors, but demand fell so craftsmen reduce the amount of production.

 

Meanwhile the Head of Metal, Machinery, Textile and Perindusterian Department of Trade and Central Java, Edi Wahyuono add-IKM will encourage SMEs to produce raw materials locally.

 

"This was done in order to supply raw materials of cloth so it does not rely on raw materials from abroad," he said.

 

During the SMEs are directly related to large industries related to the purchase of raw materials are largely imported.

 

 

Bahan Baku Tenun Jepara Masih Tergantung Impor Dari India

 

 

Ketua Koperasi Asosiasi Tenun Troso Tekstil dan Konveksi Jepara Amin Fahrudin mengatakan sebagian besar pengrajin kain troso Jepara masih bergantung impor dari India karena produk dalam negeri kurang cocok digunakan dan kaku.Pengrajin kain tenun Troso Jepara masih mengandalkan bahan baku dari India dan terimbas nilai tukar Rupiah yang terus melemah terhadap Dolar.

 

“Kenaikan dolar ini berdampak pada penurunan produksi hingga 40 persen,” katanya

 

Menurutnya, stok kain dari pedagang masih banyak namun permintaan yang turun sehingga pengrajin mengurangi jumlah produksinya.

 

Sementara itu Kepala Bidang Industri Logam Mesin dan Tekstil Dinas Perindusterian dan Perdagangan Provinsi Jawa Tengah, Edi Wahyuono menambahkan akan mendorong IKM-IKM untuk memproduksi bahan baku lokal.

 

“Ini dilakukan agar bisa menyuplai bahan baku kain sehingga tidak bergantung pada bahan baku dari luar negeri,” ujarnya.

 

Selama ini para IKM berhubungan langsung dengan industri besar terkait pembelian bahan baku yang sebagian besar masih diimpor.
