Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) Ade Sudrajat, said the economic policy package that rains are considered government has been able to stop the wave of Employment Termination (PHK) industry sector Textiles and textile products (TPT). Government Policy Package Stop The Wave of Layoffs

"After the economic policy package is born, a wave of layoffs in the textile sector to stop," said Ade Sudrajat

According to Ade, some policy package that intersect with the textile sector is considered capable of anticipating layoffs amid unstable global economy.

One of them is the policy of legal certainty and certainty that businesses cut back on investment license from the count of months become a matter of days.

Moreover, Government Regulation No. 78 Year 2015 on Equal Remuneration is also considered a good impact on the textile industry which incidentally is a labor-intensive industry.

"Wages have also been good. It's just that some areas have not been able to implement 100 per cent, because of PP and wage conditions are very tight," said Ade

According to him, the area that have already implemented a 100 percent wage in this regulation are West Java, Central Java five cities and five cities in East Java.

Ade convey, not a wave of layoffs in the textile industry sector since the fourth quarter of 2015 to early 2016.

"No layoffs, even employment in the sector continues to grow," said Ade.

Asosiasi Pertekstilan: Paket Kebijakan Pemerintah Hentikan Gelombang PHK
