Bonded Logistics Center (PLB) is required for domestic industries, especially textiles. Chief Executive of the Indonesian Logistics Association (ALI) Rianto Mahendra explained, with the PLB textiles, may reduce supply chain of textile raw materials so that logistics costs can be reduced.

"It certainly makes the domestic textile industry can become more competitive and competitive," said Mahendra.

He cited the textile industry raw materials such as cotton, usually usually supplied from Pakistan. Then, the cotton is stored by a trader in Singapore and Malaysia and shipped to Indonesia for processing in the textile industry.

"From the delivery of cotton there are various costs, transportation costs and customs duties. Try to count how many times the cost incurred it?" he explained.

This can be circumvented with the policy of the PLB. By doing so, the raw material / raw textile industry can be stored in the PLB and the textile industry could obtain the material with ease. How Inpun would reduce logistics costs and make the textile industry to be competitive.

"This PLB farmers closer to the plant and can cut the cost of logistics," said. Indonesia can beat Bangladesh as the country's textile manufacturers, "he said.

Industri Tekstil Butuh Pusat Logistik Berikat
