Indonesian Textile Association (API) rate, investment in the sector of textiles and textile products (TPT) could reach Rp26 trillion in 2016 when the government began formal talks free trade agreements or free trade agreement (FTA). Ade rate, many investors are waiting for the insurance. Because the investors are ready to invest funds to build a plant that currently trade cooperation started and can directly export their products to the EU and US.

"The FTA with the European Union (EU) and the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) of the United States (US) will increase investment in the textile industry sector which last year reached Rp13.1 trillion. However, everything depends on the Ministry of Commerce, if you dare start formal negotiations with the EU and the US later this year, investment in the textile industry could be more than doubled, "said Chairman of API, Ade Sudrajat

"As announced, investors believe that the cooperation will take place, and to be ready. The process of land acquisition, recruitment, building factories, not quite one year, "said Ade.

The interest to invest, said Ade, come from local and foreign investors.

Foreign investors are interested, especially those from China. "China is not in a position to negotiate with the EU and the US, then the investor is looking for a potential land it easier to market their products to Europe and the US," he said.

Ade added, the same thing has been done before in Vietnam. The neighboring country had already been established in free trade with the EU. "Currently, the majority of foreign investment in Vietnam comes from China.

In Indonesia alone, an investment in the national textile sector last year reached Rp13.1 trillion, surged 68% from the previous year, the foreign share is still dominated by figures 7.7 trillion (58%), while the contribution of domestic reached Rp5.4 trillion (42%), "said Ade.

FTA Dinilai Naikkan Rencana Investasi Industri Tekstil
