The existence of bonded logistics center (PLB) is required for the industry, especially in the textile business. Therefore, it could cut the supply chain (supply chain) textile raw materials, so that logistics costs can be reduced. Indonesia's textile industry can become more competitive and competitive when compared with other countries that manufacture these products.

Chief Executive of the Indonesian Logistics Association (ALI) Mahendra Rianto cited, for example cotton, raw materials of the textile industry was still supplied from other countries such as Pakistan.

With the PLB, imports can be done directly. Not having to go through intermediaries in other countries.

"Cotton was stocked by traders in Singapore and Malaysia," said Mahendra in the discussion "Media Briefing Prediction Industry Logistics Indonesia 2016" at the Fairmont Hotel, Jakarta.

Industrial production cost can also be suppressed, because it does not need to pay licensing fees-such as when taking raw materials from third parties.

"How many times the cost incurred it ?," he said.

The government, said Mahendra, look no chance to save foreign exchange, when the supply chain was trimmed. Because it is made of special education policy.

Thus, the textile industry raw materials could be stored in a warehouse in the region and the textile industry could obtain the material with ease.

"This PLB farmers closer to the plant and can cut the cost of logistics," he said.

Mahendra claims this way is powerful enough to bring down logistics costs and make the textile industry more competitive. "Indonesia can beat Bangladesh (as the country's textile manufacturers)," he said.

Langkah Meningkatkan Keunggulan Bersaing Industri Tekstil Indonesia
