Domestic Market More Prospective For Textile Industry PDF Print E-mail

Industry became the largest foreign exchange earner in the oil and gas. Lilik compares with the condition of Indonesian textile industry is now mature because it has been said has been integrated from upstream to downstream. But  attainment of just 1.8 per cent - 2 percent from needs of the textile world.

 

Lilik said this happened because Vietnam has signed with American Trans-Pacific Partnership. So that products originating from these countries get the official stamp of Government Special Preference (GSP). And as it is known today the world's textile world still lead to major countries like USA, Europe, South Korea and Japan.

 

"If they have determined its GSP then any expensive products that have the stamp must be purchased and countries that have not signed and also have a stamp GSP despite any product should not be bought as cheaply," he explained.

 

For example, if there are products from Indonesia at a price 1dolar US (USD) compared to similar products made in Vietnam with 2USD price. So when there is an American manufacturer when purchasing products from Indonesia and investigated the reasons to choose this product because of the price difference. They can be revoked business license.

 

"Currently, we are encouraging the President to seek the agreement made in order to facilitate the textile Indonesia can grow out there. And the president has made two visits to America to take care of it. Until now we are still waiting for its study, "said Lili.

 

While waiting for a fresh breeze from the government, the textile market began to boost the domestic market. "We can not underestimate the domestic market. For domestic play a very big role in which there are 250 million population of Indonesia with an incredible level of demand, "he added.

 

Pasar Domestik Lebih Prospektif  Untuk Industri Tekstil

 

Perindustrian menjadi penyumbang devisa terbanyak dalam migas. Sayangnya akibat pengalihan subsidi dari belanja operasional ke belanja modal membuat pasar industri sempat mengalami goncangan pada tahun 2015 lalu. Meski demikian mulai kembali mengalami penguatan sebanyak empat persendalam skala nasional pada bulan Desember 2015 – Januari 2016.

 

Kesulitan lain yang harusdihadapi adalah persaingan dengan negara – negara produsen tekstil baru.

 

Lilik membandingkan dengan kondisi industri tekstil Indonesia yang saat ini justru telah dikatakan matang karena telah terintegrasi dari hulu sampai hilir.Namun sayang pencapaiannya hanya 1,8 persen – 2 persendari kebutuhan tekstil dunia.

 

Lilik mengatakan hal ini terjadi karena Vietnam telah menandatangani Trans Pasific Partnership dengan Amerika. Sehingga produk yang berasal dari negara ini mendapatkan stempel resmi Goverment Special Preference (GSP). Dan seperti yang diketahui saat ini dunia tekstil dunia masih mengarah pada negara negara besar seperti Amerika, Eropa, Korea Selatan dan Jepang.

 

“ Kalau mereka sudah menentukan GSP-nya maka produk semahal apapun yang memiliki stempel ini harus  dibeli dan negara yang belum menandatangani dan juga memiliki stempel GSP meski memiliki produk semurah apapun tidak boleh dibeli,” jelas dia.

 

Sebagai contohnya saja, jika ada produk dari Indonesia dengan harga 1dolar US(USD) dibandingkan dengan produk serupa buatan Vietnam dengan harga 2USD. Maka ketika ada produsen Amerika membeli produk Indonesia dan ketika diusut alasan memilih produk ini karena perbedaan harga. Mereka bisa segera dicabut ijin usahanya.

 

“ Saat ini kami tengah mendorong Presiden RI untuk mengusahakan dibuatnya perjanjian itu agar memudahkan tekstil Indonesia bisa berkembang di luar sana. Dan presiden telah melakukan 2 kali kunjungan ke Amerika untuk mengurus hal itu. Sampai saat ini kami masih menunggu kajiannya,”kata Lilik.

 

Sementara menunggu angin segar dari pemerintah, pasar tekstil mulai menggenjot pasar domestik. “Kita tidak bisa meremehkan pasar dalam negeri. Sebab domestik  memainkan peran yang sangat besar dimana terdapat 250 juta jiwa penduduk Indonesia dengan tingkat kebutuhan yang luar biasa,” ungkapnya menambahkan.
