Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in August 2015 and then recorded unemployment rate in Indonesia reached 6.2% or 7.6 million of the total 122.4 million labor force. Based on these data, the government is targeting 2 million jobs created annually. Textile and footwear industry is a priority investment. The reason, the industry was able to absorb more labor than other sectors.

 

"Labor-intensive industries such as textiles and shoes have become a priority sector for investment BKPM able to absorb 6.5 times more workers than the average of all sectors," explained Deputy BKPM Investment Implementation Control, Azhar Lubis, when Socialization Repair Facility Sought in Indonesia

 

Azhar added, infrastructure development outside Java to be improved. With investment policy in 2016, the realization of investment outside Java is expected to increase from last year.

 

"The portion of realized investment outside Java is expected to reach 49.1%, an increase from the target in 2015 is 45.6%," said Azhar.

 

In addition, the government also ensures the development of infrastructure facilities and industrial areas of special economic zones in the Outer.

Industri Tekstil Menjadi Prioritas dan Menyerap 6,5 Kali Lebih Banyak  Pekerja

 

 

Data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) pada Agustus 2015 lalu mencatat angka pengangguran di Indonesia mencapai 6,2% atau 7,6 juta jiwa dari total 122,4 juta jiwa angkatan kerja. Berdasarkan data tersebut, pemerintah menargetkan 2 juta lapangan kerja tercipta setiap tahunnya. Industri tekstil dan sepatu menjadi prioritas investasi. Alasannya, kedua industri itu mampu menyerap lebih banyak tenaga kerja dibandingkan sektor lainnya.

 

“Industri padat karya seperti tekstil dan sepatu telah menjadi sektor prioritas investasi BKPM karena mampu menyerap 6,5 kali tenaga kerja lebih banyak dari rata-rata semua sektor,” terang Deputi Pengendalian Pelaksanaan Penanaman Modal BKPM, Azhar Lubis, saat Sosialisasi Perbaikan Kemudahan Berusaha di Indonesia

 

 

Azhar menambahkan, pembangunan infrastruktur di luar Jawa terus ditingkatkan. Dengan kebijakan investasi di 2016 ini, realisasi investasi di luar Jawa ditargetkan meningkat dari tahun lalu.

 

“Porsi realisasi investasi di luar Jawa ditargetkan mencapai 49,1%, meningkat dari target di 2015 yaitu 45,6%,” tutur Azhar.

 

Selain itu, pemerintah juga menjamin fasilitas pembangunan infrastruktur kawasan industri dan kawasan ekonomi khusus di luar Jawa.
