The representative of the Australian Embassy to Indonesia in Economics Todd Dias said it had a lot to follow the free trade pact, the TPP, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), World Trade Organization (WTO) and free trade agreements (FTAs) with a number of countries.

Three members of Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is a compact states TPP could stimulate the business climate. Those countries are Australia, Malaysia, and Vietnam.

According to him, with the increasing number of Australia joined in the free-trade pact, the business climate in the 'land of kangaroos' it will be more excited.

Prices of goods and services become cheaper for duty-free among TPP members.

"Because in Australia if there is free trade, there is a business climate for businesses in Australia. There is a market to market Australian businesses and prices to consumers so much cheaper. Not everyone understands that," Todd said during a discussion at the House of CSIS, Jakarta yesterday.

He told me before the country's entry into the TPP, like a lot of controversy in Indonesia today.

Many of those who oppose it because it considered would bring Australia into economic liberalization.

"Many consider the loss of state control over the public sector is an issue of TPP. That is wrong. There is no mention of foreign governments should love to, but there are only foreign rights join the auction," he said.

Deputy Chief Executive of the Institute of Strategic and International Studies Malaysia Dato 'Steven Wong said after taking part belonging to the TPP, the neighboring country to reform the domestic economy.

In fact, 80% of the impact of welfare reform in Malaysia comes from it, not from market access opened.

"We gain TPP impact of non-tariff policy, not lower rates. There comes investment and we finally felt it was important investment," said Steven.

Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam Hoang Tuan Anh said that the company is eyeing a number of benefits of the TPP.

First, market access, particularly garment and textile, and investment and employment.

With the opening of free investment and incentives of the TPP, the business climate will be growing.

Membuat Gairah Bisnis Domestik

Wakil Kepala Eksekutif Institute of Strategic and International Studies Malaysia Dato' Steven Wong mengatakan setelah ikut tergabung dengan TPP, negeri jiran melakukan reformasi ekonomi domestik.
