Textiles and textile products (TPT) is one of the priority industrial sector is a mainstay of the future. In 2016, the growth rate of textile industry, leather, footwear and miscellaneous expected to climb 6.33 percent and gave a contribution of 2.43 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) National.

 

"Sector textile industry will continue to be strong because it is labor-intensive and becomes the 'Social Safety Net' that supports residents' income. In the field, the apparel industry is the largest contributor in the absorption of labor, "said Director of the Textile, Leather, Footwear and Arts, Ministry of Industry Muhdori.

 

Muhdori revealed that the textile industry is currently ranked the third national export and provide employment to 2.79 million people with the products that are able to meet 70 percent of domestic clothing needs. "Throughout 2015, the textile sector has contributed 1.22 percent to the national GDP and export surplus amounted USD4,31 billion," he said.

 

Value of textile exports alone reached USD 12.28 billion, accounting for 8.17 percent of the total value of national exports. Textile industry also accounts for a large share of foreign exchange. The total investment in the sector in 2015 reached Rp573 trillion, up 16.9 percent from 2014.

 

Noted textile sector accounted for 5.05 per cent of foreign direct investment and domestic investment was 3.07 percent.

 

Although the performance of the textile industry had declined 4.79 per cent in 2015 due to the global economic crisis, the growth opportunities this year is still very large. This is because Indonesia can appropriately respond to the global crisis and is already beginning to show an improvement in the national economy.

 

Moreover, the middle class is becoming the locomotive of national consumption accounts for quite a lot of economic growth, in other words, when the world market amidweaken, the domestic market is still a great potential

 

 

Tekstil dan Produk Tekstil Menjadi Andalan Di Masa Depan

 

 

Industri Tekstil dan Produk Tekstil (TPT) merupakan salah satu sektor industri prioritas yang menjadi andalan masa depan. Di tahun 2016, laju pertumbuhan industri tekstil, kulit, alas kaki dan aneka ditargetkan naik 6,33 persen dan memberi kontribusi sebesar 2,43 persen terhadap Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) Nasional.

“Sektor Industri TPT akan terus menguat karena sifatnya yang padat karya dan menjadi ‘Jaring Pengaman Sosial’ yang mendukung pendapatan penduduk. Di lapangan, industri pakaian menjadi penyumbang terbesar dalam penyerapan Tenaga kerja,” ujar Direktur Industri Tekstil, Kulit, Alas Kaki dan Aneka Kemenperin Muhdori.

Muhdori mengungkapkan bahwa Industri TPT saat ini menempati ranking 3 ekspor nasional dan menyerap tenaga kerja hingga 2,79 juta orang dengan hasil produksi yang mampu memenuhi 70 persen kebutuhan sandang dalam negeri. “Sepanjang tahun 2015, sektor TPT telah memberikan kontribusi 1,22 persen terhadap PDB Nasional dan surplus ekspor sebesar USD4,31 miliar,” ungkapnya.

Nilai ekspor TPT sendiri mencapai USD 12,28 miliar, atau berkontribusi sebesar 8,17 peisen dari total nilai ekspor nasional. Industri TPT juga memiliki andil besar dalam menyumbang devisa negara. Total investasi di sektor tersebut pada 2015 mencapai Rp573 triliun, naik 16,9 persen dari 2014.

Tercatat sektor TPT menyumbang 5,05 persen investasi PMA dan 3,07 persen investasi PMDN.

Meski kinerja industri tekstil sempat menurun 4,79 persen pada tahun 2015 akibat krisis ekonomi global, peluang pertumbuhan tahun ini masih sangat besar. Ini dikarenakan Indonesia dapat merespons krisis global secara tepat dan sudah mulai menunjukan perbaikan di sisi ekonomi nasional.

Terlebih lagi, kelas menengah yang menjadi lokomotif konsumsi nasional menyumbang cukup banyak pertumbuhan ekonomi, Dengan kata lain, ketika pasar dunia tengah melemah, pasar domestik masih menjadi potensi besar
