Indonesia Encouraging Textile Industry in Fifth negotiations D8 PDF Print E-mail

Indonesia will boost cooperation in the textile industry negotiating the eight developing countries with a majority Muslim population are members of the Developing 8 Countries or abbreviated D8. Sigit, who will lead the delegation of Indonesia, said that in addition to textiles, some industrial sectors are potentially contribute real cooperates with seven other countries will also be included.


"We'll take textiles, because we are a lot of textile export to it. So, we can capacity building (increased capacity)," said Director General of the International Industrial Development Access Security Industry Ministry Achmad Sigit Dwiwahjono on Wednesday.


During the meeting, Indonesia also seeks to establish cooperation in the field of halal food products, where the forms of cooperation already conducted between Egypt and Malaysia.


"We make the cooperation constructive kosher food. So, we can increase our exports to Egypt. We are encouraged to produce more," said Sigit.


According to him, the Minister of Industry Saleh Husin will also attend the meeting which will be attended by representatives of member countries, namely Bangladesh, Iran, Malaysia, Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey.


Known, Minister Plenipotentiary Commercial Amin Sabry Abdel Meguid, accompanied by Egyptian Ambassador to Indonesia Bahaaeldeen Dessouki and Deputy Head of Mission Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt Haitham Mokhtar meet the Minister Saleh.


The arrival was intended to invite the Minister Saleh to attend the D8 conference, and contribute to building constructive cooperation in between members.



Indonesia Mendorong Industri Tekstil di Perundingan Kelima D8



Indonesia akan menggenjot kerja sama industri tekstil pada perundingan delapan negara berkembang dengan mayoritas penduduk muslim yang tergabung dalam Developing 8 Countries atau disingkat D8. Sigit, yang akan memimpin delegasi dari Indonesia, menyampaikan bahwa selain tekstil, beberapa sektor industri yang potensial berkontribusi menjalin kerja sama riil dengan tujuh negara lainnya juga akan diikut sertakan.



"Kita bawa tekstil, karena kita banyak ekspor tekstil ke sana. Jadi, kita bisa capacity building (peningkatan kapasitas)," ujar Dirjen Ketahanan Pengembangan Akses Industri Internasional Kementerian Perindustrian Achmad Sigit Dwiwahjono di Jakarta, Rabu.



Dalam pertemuan tersebut, Indonesia juga berupaya membangun kerja sama dibidang produk makanan halal, di mana bentuk kerja sama tersebut sudah dilakukan antara Mesir dan Malaysia.


"Kita bikin kerja sama halal food yang konstruktif. Jadi, bisa meningkatkan ekspor kita ke Egypt. Kita dorong untuk memproduksi lebih," ujar Sigit.


Menurutnya, Menteri Perindustrian Saleh Husin juga akan hadir dalam pertemuan yang akan dihadiri oleh perwakilan dari negara anggota, yakni Bangladesh, Iran, Malaysia, Mesir, Nigeria, Pakistan dan Turki.


Diketahui, Minister Plenipotentiary Commercial Amin Sabry Abdel Meguid didampingi Duta Besar Mesir untuk Indonesia Bahaaeldeen Dessouki dan Deputy Head of Mission Kedutaan Besar Republik Arab Mesir Haitham Mokhtar menemui Menteri Saleh.


Kedatangan tersebut bertujuan untuk mengundang Menteri Saleh agar menghadiri konferensi D8, dan berkontribusi membangun kerja sama yang konstruktif di anatara para anggotanya.
