Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo) Central Java ascertain the condition of the company's production at the beginning of this year is better when compared to the same period last year. "If from the figures in detail I am not sure, but overall there was an increase of about 5-10 percent compared to the beginning of last year," said Chairman Frans Kongi Apindo Central Java, Semarang.

According to him, it was reasonable considering the economic conditions over the past year was not so good. The economic downturn not only in the country but also abroad.

Such conditions result in a decrease of production demand from foreign markets. In fact, many companies are ultimately more fulfilling domestic demand.

However, this time the condition has improved. Currently, demand especially from China and the United States have started to increase.

"In fact, demand from Europe and the Middle East also is back to normal, although not as good as in years past," he said.

For a commodity in demand by foreign markets is still limited in between the plywood and the garment. For the current textile condition is not as good as in years past.

"Not because of economic conditions, but competition for the production of textiles is quite tight, especially from countries in the ASEAN region, one of Vietnam," he said.

Meanwhile, it appreciates the steps the Government in launching a number of policy packages that are proindustri.

Some economic policies perceived ease and impact both to suppress the production cost is a reduction in basic electricity rates and fuel prices.

"Even the policy on tax forgiveness that came out recently I feel will further ease the business community in the country," he said.

Apindo: Kondisi Awal Tahun Ini Lebih Baik Dibanding Tahun Lalu
