Workshop In Solo Followed By 10 Countries PDF Print E-mail

Ten representatives from Southeast Asian countries attended a workshop on Asean Textile 2016 in Solo, for four days 10 to 13 May The activity was to stimulate the development of the textile Asean through the promotion of traditional textiles member countries of Asean as a community character together.

 

In addition, to promote greater awareness of the ASEAN identity through textiles, and formulate traditional motifs that grow and develop in the Asean countries as a shared identity.

 

"In this workshop, we are also trying to formulate a single textile motif as Asean identity that can be used together with all members of Asean. For the motive can be taken from the traditional motifs of each country collaboration. The collaboration of the motif will also be made derivatives, "said Director-General

 

Culture Ministry of Education and Culture Hilmar Farid, after opening the workshop.

 

During the workshop, the organizers are also displaying various traditional textile motifs of the ten participating countries. Namely Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia. Participants were also invited around to Laweyan and Batik Village and Batik Museum Danarhadi to study methods of batik and sharing. Furthermore, the participants also demonstrate the manufacture of textile motifs.

 

After in Solo (Indonesia), the workshop continued to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In the neighboring country, the workshop will Focus  on Asean textile design and exhibition, besides seminars.

 

"From an economic standpoint, strengthening in the textile sector as well as the anticipation batik  invasion of China to the countries of Southeast Asia," said the Director General.

 

 

Workshop Di Solo Diikuti Oleh 10 Negara

 

 

Sepuluh perwakilan dari negara-negara Asia Tenggara mengikuti workshop on Asean Textile 2016 di Solo, selama empat hari 10-13 Mei. Kegiatan itu untuk merangsang pengembangan tekstil Asean melalui promosi tekstil tradisional negara-negara anggota sebagai karakter masyarakat bersama Asean.

Selain itu, mempromosikan kesadaran yang luas akan identitas Asean melalui tekstil, dan merumuskan motif-motif tradisional yang tumbuh dan berkembang di negara-negara Asean sebagai satu identitas bersama.

“Dalam woekshop ini, kita juga mencoba merumuskan motif tekstil tunggal sebagai identitas Asean yang bisa digunakan bersama-sama seluruh anggota Asean. Untuk motifnya bisa diambil dari motif tradisional masing-masing negara yang dikolaborasikan. Dari motif kolaborasi itu nantinya juga bisa dibuat turunannya,” kata Direktur Jenderal Kebudayaan Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Hilmar Farid, usai membuka workshop.

Selama workshop, panitia juga memajang berbagai motif tekstil tradisional dari sepuluh negara peserta. Yakni Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapura, Filipina, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar dan Kamboja. Peserta juga diajak keliling ke Kampung Batik Laweyan dan dan Museum Batik Danarhadi untuk mempelajari metode membatik dan saling berbagi. Selanjutnya para peserta juga mendemonstrasikan pembuatan motif tekstil.

Sesudah di Solo (Indonesia), workshop dilanjutkan ke Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Di negeri jiran, workshop akan dititkberatkan pada rancangan tekstil Asean dan pameran, selain seminar.

“Dari sisi ekonomi, penguatan di sektor tekstil batik juga sebagai langkah antisipasi serbuan batik China ke negara-negara Asia Tenggara,” kata Dirjen.
