BPS data that is processed by the Ministry of Industry show that textile consumption in 2015 reached only 6.56 kilograms per person. The numbers are down 3.94% from the previous year. Even the decline also occurred in 2014, down 0.15% compared to 2013. Figures per capita consumption of textiles and its products continued to show a decline since 2013. Even businessmen predicted this year is still stagnant.

Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association Ade Sudrajat said textile consumption per capita Indonesia this year will go down.

"I think the trend of consumption will go down because there is no purchasing power. Even if there is a reconciliation just reached the macro economy, yet at the micro level, "he said.

Previously, the balance of trade of textile industry and textile products (TPT) still showed a surplus of about US $ 4.3 million. According to Ade export market of domestic textile industry has not been a lot can be expected as a result there are still many barriers and safeguards that apply in the destination country.

"For the new markets such as Iran has not shown signs. To go to Turkey is no cooperation D8, but still lost to the rules of the WTO, "he said.

Chairman of the Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo) Sukamdani Hariyadi said the collapse in commodity prices is one factor weakening purchasing power. This is also reflected in the textile sector who have demonstrated significant value at the beginning of this year.

"Judging from the data growth, not necessarily in quality uneven. Direct government budget is spent in the beginning, it was certainly no influence. The government is in a difficult position.  heavy pressure. Eventually all people limit their spending, "he said

Tahun Ini Diprediksi Penurunan Konsumsi Tekstil

Sebelumnya, neraca perdagangan industri tekstil dan produk tekstil (TPT) masih menunjukkan surplus sekitar US$4,3 juta.

Ketua Asosiasi Pengusaha Indonesia (Apindo) Hariyadi Sukamdani mengatakan anjloknya harga komoditas menjadi salah satu faktor pelemahan daya beli masyarakat.

Tekanan makronya berat. Akhirnya semua orang membatasi belanjanya,” tuturnya.
