Industrial electricity tariff class rated burden the industry and potentially deadly industrial competitiveness in the face of competition in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API), Ade Sudrajat said, compared to Vietnam as the main competitor of the garment industry, the electricity tariff in Indonesia doubled. '' In Vietnam electricity rates just 6 cents per kWh, while in our 12 US cents, '' he said

Therefore, Vietnam has high competitiveness, in addition to market access to Europe and the United States (US). '' Vietnam more competitive electricity prices. The government had time to give energy refunds for export-based industries in the country, '' he said.

He said the association would discuss the matter with the Ministry of Finance. '' If the Ministry of Finance has approved the refund of its energy mechanism then we'll talk technical issues with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, '' called Ade.

In the cost structure of the industry, said Ade, electrical components accounted for 25% of the upstream industry. While 18% of spinning and weaving, garments 3%. '' In Bangladesh alone rates of only 6 cents. While China despite fare 12 cents, but there is a discount of 50% for the industry from 10 pm until 6 am, '' said Ade.

API has asked the government to pay serious attention to the center of the garment industry in Cianjur, West Java. '' Because the electricity often goes out. You can imagine how large the losses to be borne by the industry, '' he said.

Tarif Listrik Menjadi Kelemahan Industri Tekstil

Tarif listrik golongan industri dinilai membebani kalangan industri dan berpotensi mematikan daya saing industri dalam menghadapai persaingan dalam Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA). Ketua Umum Asosiasi Pertekstilan Indonesia (API), Ade Sudrajat menyebutkan, dibandingkan Vietnam sebagai kompetitor utama industri garmen, tarif listrik di Indonesia dua kali lipatnya. ‘’Di Vietnam tarif listrik hanya 6 sen dolar AS per kWh, sementara di kita 12 sen dolar AS,’’ tegasnya

‘’Di Bangladesh saja tarif hanya 6 sen dolar AS.
