Bonded Warehouse Logistics Center (PLB) in Cikarang Dry Port started to fill up with the arrival of imported cotton from Brazil. Delivery of imported cotton is an early stage with a volume of several hundred tons. One trader snapper Swiss began to shift logistics center (hub) for cotton import commodities from Malaysia to Cikarang Dry Port.

By using Bonded Logistics Center in Cikarang Dry Port, at least there are some benefits that reduce the cost of logistics and ease the burden on cash flow users, especially cotton textile mills. The impact is most keenly felt, the burden of cash flow textile mills cotton users to be lightened up to three months with their warehouse in PLB Cikarang Dry Port.

In addition, by moving the hub of Malaysia's imports of commodities cotton, would be a positive influence on the development of the textile industry in Indonesia. Moreover, Indonesia is one of the bases of the textile industry which is well respected in the world. The need for the cotton textile industry nationwide each year is estimated to reach 650 thousand tons to 700 thousand tons.

Indonesian Textile Association (API) said the presence of Bonded Logistics Center (PLB) special commodity cotton in Cikarang Dry Port (CDP) promote the efficiency of the national industrial logistics costs. In the presence of PLB cotton, textile raw material stock can be easily obtained and competitive costs.

"The existence of special PLB commodity cotton in Cikarang Dry Port (CDP) is clearly favorable textile entrepreneurs of the country. The reason, they do not need to spend in-in to take the cotton supply from Malaysia. Understandably, this time the stock of commodities that can only be stored in the neighbor country, "said Secretary General of the Indonesian Textile Association (API), Ernovian G Ismy,

Ernovian also welcomed the first shipment of imported cotton from Brazil to special education in the Cikarang Dry Port. He explained, if later the process is going well, meaning that the principle of effectiveness can be established, then all raw material inventories will be moved into the country all. "We wanted (the raw material cotton) are cheap. That's what we expected. For it remains to be escorted together. Not only Customs, but also merchants and users of cotton, as well as associations, "added Ernovian.

Benny Woenardi, Managing Director Cikarang Inland Port, said that during the procurement of imported cotton Indonesia is still dominated by direct import overseas shipper of approximately 60%, 30% in Malaysia warehouse, and the remaining 10% of retailers that import to be sold again. PLB cotton in this CDP can move the cotton warehouse Malaysia to Indonesia so as to reduce the cost of logistics, transportation, and warehousing.

PT Cikarang Gate Technology operates facilities bonded logistics center (PLB) for commodity cotton warehouse area covering 11 960 square meters in area of Cikarang Dry Port, West Java. Currently PLB second warehouse was under construction and expected to be completed by the end of this year. Hopefully, this PLB help Indonesia become a logistics hub in Asia Pacific, especially for cotton and textile industry

Trader Mulai Alihkan Impor Kapas Dari Malaysia Ke Cikarang

Asosiasi Pertekstilan Indonesia (API) menyatakan keberadaan Pusat Logistik Berikat (PLB) khusus komoditas kapas di Cikarang Dry Port (CDP) mendorong efisiensi biaya logistik industri nasional.
