In order to sift the information needs of human resources in the field of Textile Industry, the Indonesian Islamic University (UII) held Focus Group Discussion (FGD) by inviting the Indonesian Textile Association, the Association of All Indonesian Textile and several actors textile industry in Indonesia. FGD held in Yogyakarta Alana Hotel is at once as preparation before opening UII Textile Engineering Program.


As we know that the textile industry and textile products nationwide is the largest foreign exchange earner in the non-oil sector, therefore the industry dubbed the belle of the industry.


Therefore UII as an institution of higher education have a high commitment to the advancement of the nation, to competency of Indonesian human resources aligned with human resources in Asia, particularly ASEAN region with the opening of Textile Engineering courses Strata 1.


 UII Vice Rector Dr. Ing. Ilya Fadjar Maharika, MA., IAI., Stated that the convening of the FGD is expected to provide an overview related to the direction of development of textile in Indonesia to UII before start opening educational program of Textile Engineering.


In addition, the equation vision among educational institutions, related associations and industry are needed so that graduates produced by UII later graduated appropriate and ready to provide solutions in the textile industry in Indonesia.


"Of course we hope to have the same vision to develop the textile industry in Indonesia, if the association and the industry has the same view of the need for human resources in this regard undergraduate S1, then there is no reason for us not open courses Textile Engineering." He described.


Chairman of the Board of the National Center of the Indonesian Textile Association, Ade Sudrajat welcomed the idea UII to establish a Textile Engineering Program, he assessed that Indonesia still needs a lot of human resources in the textile field.


Therefore, he hoped someday alumni of the study program of Textile Engineering UII is not only a scholar who is ready for work, but also can be the solution maker.



Rencana Pendirian Program Studi Teknik Tekstil



Dalam rangka mengayak informasi kebutuhan SDM di bidang Industri Tekstil, Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) menyelenggarakan Focus Group Discussion(FGD) dengan mengundang Asosiasi Pertekstilan Indonesia, Ikatan Ahli Tekstil Seluruh Indonesia dan beberapa pelaku Industri tekstil di Indonesia. FGD yang diselenggarakan di Hotel Alana Yogyakarta tersebut sekaligus sebagai persiapan UII sebelum membuka Program Studi Teknik Tekstil.


Sebagaimana diketahui bahwa industri tekstil dan produk tekstil nasional merupakan penghasil devisa terbesar di sektor non migas, oleh karena itu industri tersebut dijuluki sebagai industri primadona.


Oleh karena itu UII sebagai lembaga pendidikan tinggi memiliki komitmen yang tinggi dalam upaya memajukan bangsa agar kompetensi yang dimiliki oleh SDM Indonesia sejajar dengan SDM di kawasan Asia khususnya kawasan ASEAN dengan membuka program studi Teknik Tekstil jenjang Strata 1.


 Wakil Rektor I UII Dr. Ing. Ilya Fadjar Maharika, MA.,IAI.,menyatakan bahwa dengan diselenggarakannya FGD tersebut diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran terkait arah perkembangan pertekstilan di Indonesia kepada UII sebelum mulai membuka program pendidikan Teknik Tekstil.


Di samping itu, penyamaan visi antara institusi pendidikan, asosiasi terkait dan industri sangat dibutuhkan agar lulusan yang dihasilkan oleh UII nantinya merupakan lulusan yang tepat guna dan siap memberikan solusi dalam industri tekstil Indonesia.


“Tentu kita berharap mempunyai visi yang sama untuk mengembangkan pertekstilan di Indonesia, jika asosiasi dan industri memiliki pandangan yang sama akan kebutuhan SDM dalam hal ini sarjana S1, maka tidak ada alasan untuk tidak kita buka program studi Teknik Tekstil.” Paparnya.


Ketua Umum Badan Pusat Nasional Asosiasi Pertekstilan Indonesia, Ade Sudrajat menyambut baik gagasan UII untuk mendirikan Program Studi Teknik Tekstil, ia menilai bahwa Indonesia masih membutuhkan banyak SDM di bidang pertekstilan.


Oleh karena itu ia berharap kelak alumni-alumni dari program studi Teknik Tekstil UII tidak hanya menjadi sarjana yang siap berkerja namun juga dapat menjadi solution maker.
