Momentum Idul Fitri is not perceived textile industry and until May this year, the absorption of the domestic market has decreased 10% when compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, in the period January to April, according to Ade, the export value of textiles and textile products reached US $ 3.96 billion.

"The rise in food prices high enough to make people put aside clothing. For this year's domestic performance is worse than a year ago and is feared if the cause is food prices rise too sharply or purchasing power is low, "said Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API), Ade Sudrajat.

"That figure is relatively stagnant compared with the same period last year. The performance of Indonesian textile exports to stagnate because of competition from Vietnam that record export value of US $ 30 billion in the first quarter of this year, "he said.

Ade added that the United States is still the main export market of textile products Indonesia. "The contribution reaches 36%, then followed by the EU with 14%. Textile exports to the EU fell compared to last year reached 20%, "said Ade.

Penyerapan Pasar Tekstil Turun 10 Persen

Ade menambahkan, Amerika Serikat masih menjadi pasar utama ekspor produk tekstil Indonesia.
