Index Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) released by the Indonesian manufacturing sector Markit rose from 50.6 in May to 51.9 in June, the highest level since July 2014.

The majority of businesses surveyed Markit reported increases in production output in June, mainly driven by rising demand from domestic increasingly sharp.

On the other hand, orders from overseas buyers continues to decline despite the contraction in demand Markit lowest recorded in the last 21 months.

"Looking ahead, the increase in the number of workers Markit fastest since the survey began in Indonesia, describing the positive momentum could last until the second half of 2016," said Pollyna de Lima, economist at Markit.

June manufacturing industries surveyed also continue adding new workers and an increase in raw material purchasing activities to pursue an increase in production activity.

June PMI survey also illustrates the price of raw material manufacturing industries such as metals, chemicals, the mill, plastic and paper have increased again.

"The production costs to increase again in June combined with the improved demand conditions seem to be pushing manufacturers to raise prices in the near term," said de Lima.

Deputy Head of Industrial Electric Appliances Indonesian Electronics Association (Gabel) Yeane Lim said electronics factory production activity in June increased by about 20%.

The increase in production is anticipated increases in purchasing power of people around Lebaran is usually accompanied by the increase in the purchase of electronic products, especially products washing machine.

Manufacturers also boost the activity in the factory to meet the demand from retailers who must maintain sufficient stock during the long vacation.

"Many who renew electronic items to welcome the holiday. Electronics stores still sell during the holidays, "said Yeane to the business.

He can not be sure about the addition of new workers surveyed Markit. However, no additional Yeane exposes a significant number of workers in the company, PT Denpoo Mandiri Indonesia.

Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) Anne Sutanto said the textile and garment factories increased production certainly before Lebaran.

"The issue of rising domestic demand, certainly no relevance because June is the month menjeang Eid in early July. The export market itself is still running normally, "he said.

Anne describes the development of textile and garment demand in international and domestic markets always fluctuate in accordance with the development of the world economy.

Industri Mulai Bersemangat Pada Juni

Wakil Ketua Bidang Industri Alat Listrik Rumah Tangga Gabungan Elektronika Indonesia (Gabel) Yeane Lim mengatakan aktivitas produksi pabrik elektronik pada Juni meningkat sekitar 20%.
