Embassy in Dakar organized a Business Meeting with businessmen at Hotel Teroubbi Senegal, Dakar, to promote various products and strategic industry of Indonesia, as well as the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) to 31 in Jakarta, October 12 to 16, 2016. Senegal Interested to Invest in Indonesia.



Indonesian Ambassador in Dakar Mansyur Pangeran,  said that the bilateral relations between Indonesia and Senegal, mainly in the economic field in the works since a long time but in terms of trade, relations between the two countries are still considered very low, at only about USD 89 , 37 million in 2015.


In his presentation about the current state of the Indonesian economy, the ambassador also promoting a variety of superior products and strategic industry Indonesia which has been growing rapidly and the export-oriented such as palm oil, cocoa, rubber, cinnamon and textiles.


"The meeting looks participants interested in developing business with Indonesia, but they need information of a technical nature, such as the price of the product, the type of products and derivatives, container transport services to Senegal, payment mechanisms and the situation of Islamic banking in Indonesia," he added.


In addition, there are participants who ask for complete information on the Indonesian company engaged in palm oil and its derivatives such as soaps and cosmetics, as well as plywood and aluminum products.


The business meeting was attended by businessmen Senegal potential and has been doing business with Indonesia before, among others Ndeye Seye, Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce National Senegal Aly Mboub, Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce Dakar Washim Obalah, CEO Poultrade (distributor Indomie in Senegal), Gaelle Rispal, CEO Libellule (stores and a special showroom sells wood products and handicraft Indonesia).


In addition, Business Meeting was also attended by businessmen in the region of Thies Senegal who have been to previous TEI.


In fact, Gora Seck, CEO Senhuile (company engaged in the field of agriculture and mining), will travel to Indonesia in the near future to explore cooperation with their Indonesian counterparts, particularly in the field of machinery / equipment thresher / peeler paddy into rice and machines for peanut peeler.


Poultrade company is also interested in developing business with Indonesia's raw material products soap and soap noodles are planning to import as much as 300-500 tons per month from Indonesia.


Ambassador Mansyur Pangeran add a visitor's visa-free policy for citizens of Senegal greeted enthusiastically by entrepreneurs Senegal and likely participation in the TEI-31 grew in number.

KBRI Dakar menyelenggarakan Business Meeting dengan pengusaha Senegal di Hotel Teroubbi, Dakar, untuk mempromosikan berbagai produk unggulan dan industri strategis Indonesia, serta Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) ke-31 di Jakarta, 12-16 Oktober 2016.


Dubes RI Dakar Mansyur Pangeran, mengatakan bahwa hubungan bilateral Indonesia-Senegal, terutama di bidang ekonomi berjalan baik sejak lama namun dari sisi perdagangan, hubungan kedua negara masih dinilai sangat rendah, yakni hanya berkisar USD 89,37 juta pada 2015.


Dalam paparannya mengenai kondisi terkini perekonomian Indonesia, Dubes juga mempromosikan berbagai produk unggulan serta industri strategis Indonesia yang telah berkembang pesat dan berorientasi pada ekspor seperti kelapa sawit, kakao, karet, cinnamon dan tekstil.


"Dari pertemuan tersebut terlihat peserta tertarik mengembangkan bisnisnya dengan Indonesia, namun mereka memerlukan informasi yang bersifat teknis, antara lain harga produk, jenis produk dan turunannya, jasa transportasi kontainer ke Senegal, mekanisme pembayaran dan situasi perbankan syariah di Indonesia," lanjutnya.


Selain itu, terdapat peserta yang meminta informasi lengkap mengenai perusahaan Indonesia yang bergerak di bidang kelapa sawit dan turunannya seperti sabun dan komestik, serta produk kayu triplek dan alumunium.


Pertemuan bisnis tersebut dihadiri  pengusaha Senegal yang berpotensi dan telah melakukan bisnis dengan Indonesia sebelumnya, antara lain Ndeye Seye, Sekjen Kadin Nasional Senegal Aly Mboub, Sekjen Kadin Dakar Washim Obalah, CEO Poultrade (distributor Indomie di Senegal), Gaelle Rispal, CEO Libellule (toko dan showroom khusus menjual produk kayu dan handicraft Indonesia).


Selain itu, Business Meeting juga dihadiri  pengusaha Senegal di wilayah Thies yang telah berkunjung ke TEI sebelumnya.


Bahkan, Gora Seck, CEO Senhuile (perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri pertanian dan pertambangan), akan melakukan perjalanan ke Indonesia dalam waktu dekat untuk menjajaki kerja sama dengan pengusaha Indonesia, khususnya di bidang mesin/peralatan perontok/pengupas padi menjadi beras dan mesin untuk pengupas kacang tanah.


Perusahaan Poultrade juga berminat mengembangkan bisnisnya dengan Indonesia untuk produk bahan baku sabun dan berencana untuk mengimpor soap noodles tersebut sebanyak 300-500 ton per bulan dari Indonesia.


Dubes Mansyur Pangeran menambahkan kebijakan bebas visa kunjungan kepada warga negara Senegal disambut secara antusias oleh para pengusaha Senegal dan besar kemungkinannya partisipasi pada TEI ke-31 semakin bertambah banyak.
