On Eid Clothes Sales This Year Descending PDF Print E-mail

Retail Employers' Association of Indonesia (APRINDO) said new dress tradition in Indonesia to boost the retail industry. However, APRINDO note on Eid clothes retail industry in 2016 experienced a decline. Vice Chairman APRINDO, Tutum Rahanta said the retail industry is divided into two retail food and non-food.


For non-food commonly dominate retail clothes during Eid is because Indonesia has a tradition of wearing new clothes during Eid. However, predictions of an increase in sales of clothes during Eid yesterday somehow miss prediction.

"In JNI we see fairly well. The prediction misses a little but not like last year we predicted that the stock was discharged. This did not happen," said Tutum,


Tutum explained, slipping sales forecast Ied this year due to the interest of people who buy new clothes decrease. Resulting in many stock of clothes left.


"It must be propagated to all the shops. Well fumble, if last year we would expect apparel minimum 2.5-3 times. It was not achieved so our excess stock," said Tutum.


Increasing these estimates make clothing retail company a little dizzy. They must find a way to be able to sell out of the clothes. One way to be taken is to spread to the rest of the clothes all outlets.


"It was not achieved so our excess stock. It must be propagated to all the shops," he said.


He added, slipping of these estimates is not only because people's purchasing power fell. But also because of the political turmoil and rising prices of basic commodities.


"Because there is political turmoil, and other commodity-lainl. So estimates of the stock does not happen," he closed.



Penjualan Pakaian Pada Lebaran Tahun Ini Menurun




Asosiasi Pengusaha Retail Indonesia (Aprindo) menyatakan tradisi baju baru di Indonesia mendongkrak industri retail. Namun, Aprindo mencatat industri retail baju pada Lebaran 2016 mengalami penurunan.


Wakil Ketua Aprindo, Tutum Rahanta mengatakan industri retail terbagi menjadi dua yaitu retail food dan non-food. Untuk non-food yang biasa mendominasi saat Lebaran adalah retail baju karena memang Indonesia memiliki tradisi memakai baju baru saat Lebaran. Namun, prediksi peningkatan penjualan baju saat Lebaran kemarin justru meleset dari prediksi.

"Tahun jni kita lihat cukup baik. Prediksi meleset dikit tapi tidak kayak tahun lalu yang stok kita prediksi ternyata habis. Ini tidak terjadi," kata Tutum,


Tutum menjelaskan, melesetnya perkiraan penjualan Lebaran tahun ini disebabkan oleh minat masyarakat yang membeli baju baru berkuraang. Sehingga mengakibatkan banyak stok pakaian yang tersisa.


"Harus disebarkan ke semua toko. Nah yang meleset, kalau tahun lalu pakaian kita perkirakan mininum 2,5-3 kali. Itu tidak tercapai jadi kita kelebihan stok," ujar Tutum.


Melesetnya perkiraan ini membuat perusahaan retail baju sedikit pusing. Mereka harus mencari akal untuk bisa menjual habis baju-baju tersebut. Salah satu cara yang ditempuh adalah dengan cara menyebar baju-baju sisa ke seluruh outlet.


"Itu tidak tercapai jadi kita kelebihan stok. Harus disebarkan ke semua toko," ujar dia.


Ia menambahkan, melesetnya perkiraan tersebut bukan hanya karena daya beli masyarakat turun. Tetapi juga karena adanya gejolak politik dan naiknya harga bahan dasar komoditas.


"Karena ada gejolak politik, komoditi dan lain-lainl. Jadi perkiraaan stok tidak terjadi," tutup dia.
