Young Designers Learning Textile Industry In Face of Global Markets PDF Print E-mail

Dozens of designers incorporated in Indonesia Fashion Forward middle penetrated the textile industry to prepare for competition in the global market. Not only that, the factory visit program, Jakarta Fashion Week, with designer Indonesia Fashion Forward (IFF), and non IFF designers that also visited several places in Pekalongan, Solo and Boyolali.

In the city of Batik, the designers Indonesia  hijab icon visited Dian Pelangi and visit the Batik Museum and gajah Duduk. Furthermore, they do a factory visit to Dan Lyrical Solo, Sritex in Sukoharjo, and Pan Brothers in Boyolali.

Many of the lessons learned by these designers in visited to factory. As said by Michele Tjokrosaputro, CEO Dan Liris which gives tips on how to become a successful designer.

"Designers should prepare something to mature, from planning, mood boards, samples, and corresponding time line. That requires a solid team that all running smoothly," Michelle Tjokrosaputro, CEO and Lyrical.

In line with Michelle, Dian Pelangi, Muslim fashion designer whose name has been worldwide provide tips on how a label owner must be creative in order to survive in the fashion industry.

"Having a common feature of the design, do not forget innovating for motive, in order to survive," said the owner of this DianPelangi label.


Desainer Muda Belajar Industri Tekstil Dalam Rangka Menyambut Pasar Global



Puluhan desainer yang tergabung dalam Indonesia Fashion Forward tengah merambah industri tekstil untuk mempersiapkan diri menjelang persaingan di pasar global. Mereka mulai mempelajari bagaimana proses sebuah kapas menjadi benang, kemudian kain, dan berakhir menjadi baju.


Tak hanya itu, program factory visit, Jakarta Fashion Week, bersama desainer Indonesia Fashion Forward (IFF), dan desainer non IFF  juga mengunjungi beberapa tempat di Pekalongan, Solo dan Boyolali.


Di Kota Batik, para desainer mendatangi ikon hijab Indonesia Dian Pelangi serta mengunjungi Museum Batik dan Gajah Duduk. Selanjutnya mereka melakukan factory visit ke Dan Liris di Solo, SRITEX di Sukoharjo, dan Pan Brothers di Boyolali.


Banyak pelajaran yang diterima oleh desainer ini dalam kujungan ke factory. Seperti yang dikatakan oleh Michele Tjokrosaputro, CEO Dan Liris yang memberikan tips bagaimana menjadi desainer yang sukses.


"Desainer harus mempersiapkan sesuatu dengan matang, mulai dari perencanaan, mood board, sampel, dan sesuai time line. Untuk itu dibutuhkan tim yang solid agar semua berjalana dengan lancar," Michelle Tjokrosaputro, CEO Dan Liris.


Senada dengan Michelle, Dian Pelangi, desainer busana muslim yang namanya sudah mendunia memberikan tips bagaimana seorang pemilik label harus kreatif agar bisa bertahan di industri fashion.


"Memiliki ciri khas pada desain, jangan lupa berinovasi untuk motif, agar bisa bertahan," kata pemilik label DianPelangi ini.
