Textile Industry: API And TPSA Signing MoU Agreement PDF Print E-mail

Chairman of API Ade Sudrajat said, Canada is one of the potential market for Indonesian garment industry. Indonesian Textile Association (API) and the Canada-Indonesia Trade and Private Sector Project assisstant (TPSA) signed a memorandum of understanding for the development of textiles, especially empowering for SMEs.

 

 

A number of programs have been planned in the MoU will try to bridge those problems.

 

"However, the Indonesian exporters should understand and be aware of the specific requirements that may apply in Canada or the Canadian market trend," said Ade in the signing of the MoU API-TPSA.

 

"This MoU enables information exchange trading and investment in the apparel sector of Canada and Indonesia for business opportunities," said Ade.

 

He added, API and TPSA can present commercial opportunities for UKMIKM Indonesia in Canada, including those owned or run by women. In addition, increasing the capacity of SME / SMI Indonesia in the apparel sector for export to Canada.

 

"We also expect to increase understanding better for SME / SMI Indonesia about the requirements of the Government of Canada and markets in Canada through activities that have been planned, as well as improving business relations between Canada and Indonesia," said Ade.

 

Industri Tekstil: API Dan TPSA Menandatangani Mou Agreement

 

Ketua Umum API Ade Sudrajat mengungkapkan, Kanada merupakan salah satu pasar yang potensial bagi industri pakaian jadi Indonesia.  Asosiasi Pertekstilan Indonesia (API)dan The Canada-Indonesia Trade and Private Sector Assisstant Project (TPSA)menandatangani nota kesepahaman untuk pengembangan tekstil, terutama pemberdayaan bagi pelaku UKM.

 

 

Sejumlah program yang sudah direncanakan dalam MoU ini akan berusaha menjembatani masalah-masalah tersebut.

 

 

"Namun, eksportir Indonesia harus memahami dan aware terhadap persyaratan-persyaratan khusus yang mungkin berlaku di Kanada ataupun trend pasar Kanada," ujar Ade dalam penandatanganan MoU API-TPSA.

 

"MoU ini memungkinkan pertukaran informasi perdagangan dan investasi di sektor pakaian jadi dari Kanada dan Indonesia untuk peluang bisnis," ujar Ade.

 

Dia menambahkan, API dan TPSA dapat menyajikan peluang komersial bagi UKMIKM Indonesia di Kanada, termasuk yang dimiliki atau dijalankan oleh perempuan. Selain itu, meningkatkan kapasitas UKM/IKM Indonesia di sektor pakaian jadi untuk diekspor ke Kanada.

 

 

"Kami juga mengharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman yang lebih baik bagi UKM/IKM Indonesia tentang persyaratan Pemerintah Kanada dan pasar di Kanada melalui kegiatan yang telah direncanakan, serta meningkatkan hubungan bisnis antara Kanada dan Indonesia," ujar Ade.
