The export value of fabrics Indonesia to Mexico rose 46.57% over 2015. In 2014 the value of textile imports from Indonesia Mexico in particular types of man made staple fibers reached US $ 25.08 million in which this value increased to US $ 36.76 million in the following year.

In 2015, Indonesia ranks fourth as the country's largest exporters of these products to Mexico, after the United States, China and India.

Head of Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) Mexico City Banny R Ramadhani said Mexico has a population of more than 125 million people is the country with the third largest population in the Americas.

"Moreover, the Mexican community known consumer in the shop and also fashionable in clothes. This is an opportunity for Indonesia as a major manufacturer and exporter of textile products including other products related to fashion. Mexico is an untapped potential market optimally," said Banny

Since 2015, he continued, Mexico imposed a number of policies to tighten the importation of textile products as indicated by the number of imports of textile products is illegal and under-value. This creates a challenge for Indonesia and an opportunity to show that Indonesia is able to provide high-quality textile products.

Banny expressed to increase the export of textile products Indonesia, one of the ways through participating in the 65th Intermodal Expo 2016 in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico, on 19-22 July. Intermodal Expo, held twice a year is an international event that displays a variety of fashion-related products, ranging from machinery, yarn, fabrics, accessories, shoes, and clothing.

In July, the exhibition was attended by more than 800 exhibitors, both local and international, in the presence of more than 18 thousand potential buyers. Indonesia is one of the 16 countries participating in this exhibition.

Indonesian companies participating in this event is a producer and exporter of yarn and fabric Hasasi Group (International Hasasi and Indo Hasasi Textiles). In addition, a number of textile products such as batik, beach clothes, and bags were also on display at this exhibition. In addition to showcasing its products, Hasasi Group also had a chance meeting with Mexican businessmen.
