In the presence of PLB cotton, textile raw material stock can be easily obtained and competitive costs.

"We want an inexpensive raw material cotton. That's what we expected. For it remains to be escorted together. Not only Customs, but also merchants and users of cotton, as well as associations, "he told Business.

According to him, the existence of a special PLB commodity cotton in CDP clearly beneficial textile entrepreneurs of the country. The reason, they do not need to spend in-in to take the cotton supply from Malaysia. Understandably, this time the stock of these commodities can only be stored in the neighbor country.

"At least a textile company could save about US $ 0.6 cents per kg. In addition, we can shift money around Rp 1.2 billion per year that had been enjoyed by Malaysia. "

Ernovian also welcomed the inclusion of the stock of cotton from Brazil to special education in the Cikarang Dry Port. He explained, if later the process is going well, meaning that the principle of effectiveness can be established, then all raw material inventories will be moved into the country all.

Volume cotton for delivery in the second of Brazil on Wednesday (27/7) last week as much as 1,000 tons, following the first shipment of 210 tons.

By using Bonded Logistics Center in Cikarang Dry Port, at least there are some benefits that reduce the cost of logistics, cash flow relieve the burden on users, especially cotton textile factory.

The impact is most felt by the warehouse in PLB Cikarang Dry Port is a reduction in the burden of cash flow from the textile mills of cotton up to three months.

Additionally, moving process  hub of Malaysia's commodity imports of cotton would be a positive influence on the development of the textile industry in Indonesia. Moreover, Indonesia is one of the bases of the textile industry which is well respected in the world.

The need for the cotton textile industry nationwide each year is estimated to reach 650,000 tons to 700,000 tons.

Benny Woenardi, President Director of PT Gate Technology Cikarang as managing warehousing and special education in the Cikarang Dry Port, explained during the procurement of imported cotton Indonesia is still dominated by imported directly shipper from abroad about 60%, by 30% in warehouses Malaysia, and the remaining 10% of retailers who import for sale again.

He is optimistic, PLB cotton in cotton warehouse CDP can move Malaysia to Indonesia so as to reduce the cost of logistics, transportation, and warehousing.

Asosiasi Pertekstilan Indonesia Minta Para Pemimpin Kawal Pusat Logistik Khusus Kapas

Asosiasi Pertekstilan Indonesia meminta semua pemangku kepentingan turut mengawal keberadaan pusat logistic berikat atau PLB khusus komoditas kapas. Ernovian G. Ismy, Sekjen Asosiasi Pertekstilan Indonesia (API), mengungkapkan hadirnya PLB khusus komoditas kapas di Cikarang Dry Port (CDP) mendorong efisiensi biaya logistik industri nasional.
