Directorate of Special Criminal Jakarta Police raided an illegal textile warehouse in the Cakung, East Jakarta. The warehouse was known to have been operating for three years and smuggle goods through the port of Jakarta and Banten. Textile warehouse in Cakung Raided, Thousands of Used Clothes Seized

 

 

"They've been doing this business for three years. As a result, the country loses up to tens of billions," said Head of Public Relations Jakarta Police Commissioner Awi.

 

He said, in addition to textile warehouse raids from South Korea and Japan, the officers also arrested 11 people. They are SKM (29), warehouse foreman; NHD (36), assistant foreman; WL (31), porters; BS (37), the buyer traders in  Senen Market ; then RD (44), DSL aka D (46), AZS (43), JRM alias JN (47), SHM (45), and SND (27) which is a truck driver.

 

When the arrest, officers seized 2,216 bales of used clothes from Japan and South Korea with various types such as shirts, T-shirts of men and women, long-sleeved shirt, and jeans. In addition it also seized six conveyances, 11 memorandums permit, and one notebook distribution of goods.

 

"We confiscated various types of used clothing illegally from Korea and Japan," he said.

 

The perpetrators alleged to have violated Article 111, 112 Paragraph (2) and 113 of Law No. 7 of 2014 on Trade in conjunction with Regulation of the Minister of Trade No. 51 / M on Prohibition of Import of Used Clothing and or No. 10 of 1995 on Kapabeanan (Customs and Excise) threatened sentenced to five years in prison and a maximum fine of Rp 5 billion.

 

 

 

 

Gudang Tekstil di Cakung Digerebek, Ribuan Pakaian Bekas Disita

 

 

Direktorat Kriminal Khusus Polda Metro Jaya menggerebek sebuah gudang tekstil ilegal di kawasan Cakung, Jakarta Timur. Gudang tersebut diketahui sudah beroperasi selama tiga tahun dan menyelundupkan barangnya melalui pelabuhan Jakarta serta Banten.

 

"Mereka sudah melakukan bisnis ini selama tiga tahun. Akibatnya, negara dirugikan hingga puluhan miliar," ujar Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Awi.

 

Ia mengatakan, selain melakukan pengerebekan gudang teksil dari Korea Selatan dan Jepang, petugas juga menangkap 11 orang. Mereka adalah SKM (29), mandor gudang; NHD (36), asisten mandor; WL (31), buruh angkut; BS (37), pembeli pedagang di Pasar Senen; kemudian RD (44), DSL alias D (46), AZS (43), JRM alias JN (47), SHM (45), dan SND (27) yang merupakan sopir truk.

 

Saat penangkapan, petugas menyita 2.216 bal pakaian bekas dari Jepang dan Korea Selatan dengan berbagai jenis seperti kemeja, kaus oblong pria dan perempuan, baju lengan panjang, serta celana jins. Selain itu disita pula enam alat angkut, 11 nota surat jalan, dan satu buah buku catatan distribusi barang.

 

"Kita menyita berbagai jenis pakaian bekas ilegal berasal dari Korea dan Jepang," tuturnya.

 

Para pelaku disangkakan melanggar Pasal 111, 112 Ayat (2) dan 113 UU RI Nomor 7 Tahun 2014 tentang Perdagangan juncto Peraturan Menteri Perdagangan Nomor 51/M tentang Larangan Impor Pakaian Bekas dan atau RI Nomor 10 Tahun 1995 tentang Kapabeanan (Bea dan Cukai) diancam hukuman lima tahun penjara dan denda maksimal Rp5 miliar.
