The Ministry of Industry filed several additional industries to contribute to get discounted gas prices, among them textiles and footwear, food and beverage, pulp and paper. "In total there are 11 sectors that we are proposing to be the priority of the decline in gas prices," said Director General of Chemical Industry, Textile and Miscellaneous Industry Ministry Achmad Sigit Dwiwahjono.

Sigit said that the establishment of industrial sectors were selected by reference to the use of gas as a raw material and fuel bakan very significant, which is about 30 per cent of the total cost of production.

Thus, the Ministry of Industry will delay the issuance of the Ministerial Decree (Permenperin) which regulates the procedure for filing a discounted price for the gas company.

"Not (published), because we have asked for additional sectors. There are some players who protested to the Ministry of Industry, why they did not enter the sector, but it took a lot of gas. Finally the minister considered again for talking to the Ministry of Energy," said Sigit.

According to Sigit, there are four references that are used to measure the feasibility of an industry get cheaper gas prices, the competitiveness, the growth, the addition of foreign exchange and employment.
