In this exhibition, also attended the works of renowned designers Indonesia through the label that they have, in among Itang Yunasz Ready to Wear, Ardistia New York, Alleira Batik, and Warnatasku.

"This activity is  one of the efforts to strengthen Indonesia's textile industry," said Achmad Sigit Dwiwahjono, Director General of Chemical Industry, Textile and Miscellaneous Industry Department, in a press conference Indonesia Ready to Wear in Jakarta.

Sigit continued that the development of the textile industry in the past three years has decreased significantly.

One effort to push it is through the fashion industry.

Ministry of Industry noted, the textile sector investment accounted for 3.68 per cent of foreign direct investment (FDI) and 3.06 percent of the investment, domestic investment (DCI).

In addition, according to the data of the Creative Economy also shows 4.9 percent economic growth in Indonesia every year supported creative economy.

Based on this amount, 31 per cent of its revenue comes from the fashion industry.

Therefore, Sigit also hope, through these activities, textiles and fashion Indonesia could be popular in foreign countries and can restore the textile developments such as three years ago

Tekstil Indonesia Go Internasional
