Minister of Industry (Industry), Airlangga Hartanto, today collect approximately 160 entrepreneurs textiles and textile products (TPT) from 5 provinces in Java, namely West Java, Central Java, East Java, Banten and Yogyakarta. Airlangga said, the growth of the textile industry's flagging so excuse himself collecting textile entrepreneurs today. Even some traders balance of textile products is already in deficit.

"A sum of US $ 1.16 billion deficit in yarn, fabric is also our product deficit of US $ 2.9 billion. We are exporters of fabric but also importers of fabric, so this breakfast meeting I want to get input from associations and industry players," he said, when opening ceremony at the Ministry of Industry, Jakarta, Monday (29/08/2016).

He cited, for foreign exchange contribution of textile exports, in 2015 only accounted for US $ 12.28 billion, down from the year 2014 amounted to US $ 12.74 billion.

"Though this textile subsector is the third largest foreign exchange earner. Also absorbs 4 million workers, or 10.6% of total employment in the manufacturing industry. So with this meeting we hope that there is harmonization," said Airlangga.

Ministers from the Golkar party's background revealed that the company is targeting Indonesia can enter in the Top 5 world's largest textile exporter. "Our target is at least able to enter top 5 world textile industry," he concluded.

Menteri Perindustrian Mengumpulkan Pengusaha Untuk Meningkatan Industri Tekstil

"Sebesar US$ 1,16 miliar defisit di benang, produk kain juga kita defisit US$ 2,9 miliar.
