Some employers complained textiles, hard raw materials made of textiles and textile products (TPT) in the country is difficult competing with other countries. Manufacturers complain TPT import duties and import duties are considered too high. Businessmen Complain Playing of Cotton Prices.

Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API), East Java, Sherlina Kawilarang, says there are at least three main raw materials that make difficult to develop the textile industry entrepreneurs, namely cotton, rayon, and polyester.

"We are not able to produce cotton, 100% must rely imports. And the price of cotton is always a game, how many factories spinning (spinning) to be closed due to fluctuations in cotton prices. I hope the government can help so that the price of cotton is not mocked," Sherlina said on the show Breakfast Meeting Ministry of Industry, Jakarta, Monday (08/29/2016).

Second, he added, the problem of rayon raw materials which also cost the company with duty and import duties are high.

"Rayon factory in Indonesia there are only two factories, it is also to their own needs. We beg-beg buyers in rayon factory (domestically) was given. But we want to import subject to import duty of 5%, 2.5% import duty. We this request abolished. Rayon expensive, ultimately thread so expensive, this is for us not competitive, "said Sherlina.

Lastly, the raw material such as polyester are also subject to import duties and import duties as well as rayon, plus additional anti-dumping tariffs on imports of polyester.

"Polyester forced also we have to import, because the domestic price is also more expensive. The severity, polyester is no anti dumping. It's suicide spinning locally, because we asked for in a local factory goods are always not around. So this is what makes the fabric we selling in world markets become more expensive, "said Sherlina.

Pengusaha Keluhkan Permainan Harga Kapas
