The Ministry of Commerce (Trade) ambition to strengthen the export of finished goods to the world and will continue to increase its promotional efforts to the world. Director General of Export Development (DG PEN) Ministry of Trade, Arlinda, insists it is time for Indonesia no longer export raw materials and finished goods are turning to value-added.

 

Support the plan, Indonesia promoting to China via Indonesia pavilion at the international exhibition Exehibition of China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) to 13 in Nanning International Convention & Exhibition Center (NICEC), in Nanning Guangxi, People's Republic of China (PRC).

 

"It is time we no longer export raw materials, but switched to the value-added finished goods as exhibited by the participants in the Indonesian pavilion," said Arlinda was quoted as saying in a press release, in Jakarta, Tuesday (13/09/2016).

 

The Ministry of Trade also continues to increase promotional efforts to all countries in the world. Where this time Indonesia opened up opportunities in the Chinese market products and increase strategic cooperation between Indonesia and China. According Arlinda, agenda Indonesian Pavilion at the Bamboo Curtain country enlivened many as 81 businesses participating nationwide.

 

"CAEXPO exhibition has developed into an important platform to promote trade and investment in ASEAN and China, including Indonesia. CAEXPO also be a model of good cooperation to achieve joint development between countries in the ASEAN region and China itself," said Arlinda.

 

For your information, CAEXPO is a multiproduct retail exhibition. This year, Indonesia showcase furniture products, consumer goods, spa, herbal products, and beauty. Indonesia also carries home decor products, fashion accessories and jewelry, as well as food and beverages.

 

According to him, this time is the mainstay of Indonesia fashion accessories and jewelry because the demand is high enough.

 

 

Tekstil Dapat Yang Dimotori Us Yang bisa Menembus Pasar TPP

 

 

Ditengah keragu raguan dengan lahirnya  perdagangan Trans Pacific Partnership, TPP, minus Indonesia, yang  melibatakan negara maju Amerika Serikat, Jepang dan negara berkembang  Malaysia dan Vietnam. Palaku industri tekstil dan produk tekstil  yang sudah lama masuk dalam persaingan pasar  Eropa dan Amerika meski pangsanya cuma 5 persen dari pasar dunia.

 

"Dengan masuk TPP, produk kita tidak kena tambahan pajak", kata pelaku industri Bintoro Dibyo Seputro kepada wartawan seusai  diskusi dengan judul: TPP Peluang atau Ancaman di Jakarta Rabu (7/9/2016).

 

Ada atau tidak ada TPP, katanya, industri tekstil sudah berjalan terus karena kita sudah lama masuk pasar Eropa dan Amerika Serikat. Yang ukurannya  adalah mutu, murah dan efisien sebagai kuncinya, jelas  Bintoro.

 

Ia tak sejalan dengan penolakan pakar ekonomi Emil Salim atas TPP  dengan  7 alasan. "Mengapa karena tekstil kita sudah bersaing sejak lama. Meski secara jumlah produksi kita  sudah disalib oleh Vietnam dan Bangladesh yang pada tahun 1980 an belajar dari kita", ujarnya.

 

TPP sebenarnya bukan ancaman bagi industri tekstil. Sebab tekstil  kita sudah lama dilepas ke pasar oleh pemerintah. Untuk diketahui  suatu perusahaan  sekarang setahunnya berhasil menjual tekstil Rp 7 Triliun pertahun, seiring dengan makin berkurangnya pembinaan dari pemerintah, kata Bintoro. Erwin Kurai
