Import of textile machinery from China since last 10 a positive impact on the textile industry in the country. However, the technology of the part of the machine is not environmentally friendly and efficient, especially in energy. Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) Ade Sudrajat said the government needs to help the textile industry to facilitate ease of credit to buy machinery from India.

"Of course we expect the Government of Indonesia provide ease credit facility as currently imported machinery from China," he said

In addition, he said, the government needs to provide subsidized facilities of electrical energy for the textile industry which is currently quite high.

He gave an example, each province in India different electricity prices, the most expensive 11 cents. While in Indonesia equalized in all provinces and the price is one of the most expensive in the world.

"In one of the provinces in India there is even less worth 6 cents. So if there is a large investor in the province, the production of electricity prices low," he explained.

Similarly in China, where the government provides a subsidy of 50% for industrial activity at night. "In Indonesia that discourse would at a 30% discount on any of the first night was not yet up to now," he said.

Pemerintah Perlu Berikan Subsidi Listrik Untuk Mendorong Industri Tekstil
