Minister of Trade: Time to Invest in Indonesia PDF Print E-mail

Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita insists is now a good time for businesses from around the world to invest in Indonesia, as well as collaborate with SMEs Indonesia. "With two key words, openness and competitiveness, Indonesia will become the economic power in the future," said Enggar acting as Chairman of Working Group I Taskforce Acceleration and Effectiveness of Economic Policy in the activities of Diplomatic and Chamber of Commerce International Gathering, in Jakarta.

 

Themed "Sustaining Confidence, Strengthening Partnership", the event was held in cooperation with the Task Force Working Group I Acceleration and Effectiveness of Economic Policy at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin). At the event, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno L.P. Marsudi chance to give welcoming remarks. The event was also attended by the Minister of Communication and Information Rudiantara.

 

With the Economic Policy Package, the Minister of Trade Enggar sure Indonesia will become a production and export hub in Asia. "Openness and competitiveness into two keywords in Economic Policy Package that will make Indonesia the most profitable places to invest. The President stressed the ongoing reforms, simplifying regulations, and the opening of the Indonesian economy, "said Enggar.

 

Enggar continued, openness Indonesia will expand opportunities to connect with the global value chain. Thus, Indonesia can enhance its ability supported by natural resources, innovation, creativity and talent, cultural heritage, demographic advantages, as well as the strategic position of Indonesia in Southeast Asia. "With the national competitiveness, the Government was able to run the economy in a more efficient manner so that an opportunity for Indonesia to compete in the domestic market, regional, and global," he said.

 

According Enggar, bureaucratization and deregulation became one of the steps taken by the Government in improving competitiveness. The government gave special attention to the acceleration of the development and progress of infrastructure such as airports, ports and railway lines so that the centers of production in the region can be connected to the national distribution channels optimally.

 

In addition, deregulation and de-bureaucratization embodied the spirit of one of them in import-export licensing process easier, transparent, efficient, and certainly. Currently, there are 88 kinds of import-export permits, where 64 kinds of permissions have been served with the online system, and seven of them have been using a digital signature.

 

The government is also determined to play an important role in the world economy is increasingly integrated to improve efficiency of trade and investment functions at provincial and national levels. "We believe that through increased efficiency, the Government can not only improve competitiveness at the global level, but also create opportunities for farmers, fishermen, young businessmen and women, and SMEs to contribute better to the Indonesian economy," said Enggar ,

 

It will assist the Government of Indonesia in addressing the problem of poverty, income inequality, and rural development, which in turn can improve the economy of Indonesia.

 

 

Six Thematic Economic Policy Package

 

Enggar The minister said that the Government has issued and implemented 13 regulatory package in less than a year. This package covers six thematic, namely investment, industry, logistics, tourism, exports and consumer purchasing power.

 

Various efforts made by the Government to realize the economic policies, among others, by:

 

• simplify various rules, procedures of trade and investment;

• facilitating financing for small and medium enterprises;

• ensure the availability of energy;

• provide incentives in the investment sector and industry;

• revise the negative investment list (DNI); and

• simplified procedures for the construction of housing low-income families.

 

In the investment sector, up to the first semester 2016, an increase of 14.8% compared to the same period in the previous year. Changes DNI has opened 141 business fields. In addition, investment services three hours in effect since January 11, 2016 until today has facilitated the planting of an investment of USD16 billion.

 

Still in the investment sector, the Government prepares fiscal policy to encourage the planting investment in the domestic industry. Simultaneously, the Government also to make improvements in order to create a logistics and transportation costs are low. Progress in the industrial sector is characterized by the deregulation process which reached 99%. Not only that, two of the eight Special Economic Zones (SEZ) are arranged already in operation. A total of 14 provinces have also implemented the minimum wage and additional tax incentives.

 

 

 

 

 

Menteri Perdagangan: Saatnya Berinvestasi di Indonesia

 

 

 

Menteri Perdagangan Enggartiasto Lukita menegaskan saat ini merupakan saat yang tepat bagi pelaku usaha dari seluruh dunia untuk berinvestasi di Indonesia, serta berkolaborasi dengan UKM Indonesia. "Dengan dua kata kunci, keterbukaan dan daya saing, Indonesia akan menjadi  kekuatan ekonomi  di  masa  depan," jelas Enggar  yang  bertindak sebagai Ketua Pokja I Satgas Percepatan dan Efektivitas Pelaksanaan Kebijakan Ekonomi dalam kegiatan Diplomatic and Chamber of Commerce International Gathering, di Jakarta.

 

Bertema “Sustaining Confidence, Strengthening Partnership”,  kegiatan  tersebut  terselenggara berkat kerja sama Pokja I Satgas Percepatan dan Efektivitas Pelaksanaan Kebijakan Ekonomi dengan Kamar   Dagang  dan  Industri  (KADIN).  Pada  kegiatan  itu,  Menteri  Luar  Negeri  Retno  L.P.  Marsudi  berkesempatan  memberikan welcoming remarks.  Acara itu juga dihadiri oleh Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika Rudiantara.

 

Dengan adanya Paket Kebijakan Ekonomi, Mendag Enggar yakin Indonesia akan  menjadi  hub  produksi  dan   ekspor di Asia.  “Keterbukaan dan  daya saing menjadi dua kata kunci dalam Paket Kebijakan  Ekonomi yang   akan  menjadikan  Indonesia tempat yang paling menguntungkan  untuk berinvestasi. Presiden  menekankan   akan  terus  melakukan  reformasi,  menyederhanakan  regulasi,  dan  membuka  perekonomian  Indonesia,”   tegas Enggar.

 

Enggar  melanjutkan, keterbukaan akan  memperluas peluang  Indonesia untuk terhubung dengan  rantai  nilai   global. Dengan demikian,  Indonesia  bisa  meningkatkan  kemampuannya  didukung oleh  sumber  daya  alam,   inovasi, kreativitas  dan  bakat,  warisan  budaya,  keuntungan  demografi,  serta  posisi  strategis  Indonesia  di   Asia Tenggara.   “Dengan  daya  saing  nasional,  Pemerintah  mampu  menjalankan  perekonomian  dengan  cara  yang  lebih   efisien  sehingga  membuka  kesempatan  bagi  Indonesia  untuk  berkompetisi  di  pasar  domestik,  regional,   maupun global,” ujarnya.

 

Menurut Enggar, debirokratisasi dan deregulasi menjadi salah satu langkah yang diambil  Pemerintah dalam   meningkatkan  daya  saing.  Pemerintah  memberi  perhatian  khusus  pada  percepatan  pembangunan  dan   kemajuan  infrastruktur  seperti  bandara, pelabuhan,  dan jalur  kereta  api  sehingga  pusat-pusat  produksi  di   daerah dapat terhubung dengan jalur distribusi nasional secara optimal. 

 

Selain  itu,  semangat  deregulasi  dan  debirokratisasi  diwujudkan  salah  satunya  dalam  proses  perizinan   ekspor  impor  yang  semakin  mudah,  transparan,  efisien,  dan  pasti.    Saat  ini,  terdapat  88  jenis  perizinan   ekspor-impor,  di  mana  64  jenis  perizinan  telah  dilayani  dengan  sistem  online  dan  7  di  antaranya  telah   menggunakan digital signature.

 

Pemerintah   juga      bertekad     menjalankan       peran    penting   dalam     perekonomian        dunia    yang   semakin  terintegrasi   dengan  meningkatkan  fungsi  efisiensi  perdagangan  dan  investasi  di  tingkat  provinsi  dan   nasional.   “Kami  percaya  bahwa  melalui  peningkatan  efisiensi,  Pemerintah  tidak  hanya  dapat  meningkatkan  daya   saing  di  tingkat  global,  tapi  juga   membuka  peluang bagi  para  petani,  nelayan,  pengusaha  muda  dan   perempuan, serta  UKM untuk  turut memberikan kontribusi yang  lebih  baik  bagi perekonomian  Indonesia,”  ujar  Enggar.

 

Hal   itu akan   membantu       Pemerintah   Indonesia   dalam   mengatasi   masalah               kemiskinan,   ketimpangan  pendapatan,   dan       pembangunan         pedesaan,   yang   pada   akhirnya   dapat   meningkatkan   perekonomian  Indonesia.

 

 

 

Enam Tematik Paket Kebijakan Ekonomi 

 

Mendag  Enggar  menyampaikan,  Pemerintah  telah  mengeluarkan  dan  mengimplementasikan  13  paket  kebijakan  ekonomi  dalam  kurun  waktu  kurang  dari  setahun.  Paket  ini  melingkupi  enam  tematik,  yaitu  investasi, industri, logistik, pariwisata, ekspor, dan daya beli masyarakat.

Berbagai upaya yang telah dilakukan Pemerintah untuk mewujudkan kebijakan ekonomi tersebut, antara   lain  dengan  cara:

·         menyederhanakan  berbagai  peraturan,  prosedur  perdagangan,  dan  investasi; 

·         memberikan  fasilitasi  pembiayaan bagi usaha kecil dan menengah;

·         menjamin ketersediaan energi; 

·         memberikan insentif  di  sektor  investasi  dan  industri; 

·         merevisi  daftar  negatif  investasi  (DNI);  serta 

·         mempermudah  prosedur  pembangunan perumahan bagi keluarga berpenghasilan rendah. 

 

Di sektor investasi, hingga Semester I 2016, terjadi peningkatan sebesar 14,8% dibandingkan periode yang   sama  di  tahun  sebelumnya.  Perubahan  DNI  telah  membuka  141  bidang  usaha.  Selain  itu,  pelayanan   investasi tiga jam yang berlaku sejak 11 Januari 2016 hingga saat ini juga telah memfasilitasi penanaman   investasi sebesar USD16 Miliar.  

Masih  di  sektor  investasi,  Pemerintah  menyusun  kebijakan  fiskal  yang  dapat  mendorong  penanaman  investasi pada industri di dalam negeri. Secara bersamaan, Pemerintah juga melakukan pembenahan guna  menciptakan biaya logistik dan transportasi yang rendah.    Kemajuan di sektor industri  ditandai dengan proses deregulasi yang mencapai 99%. Tidak hanya itu, 2 dari   8  Kawasan  Ekonomi  Khusus  (KEK)  yang  disusun  sudah  beroperasi.  Sebanyak  14  provinsi  juga  telah  menerapkan upah minimum dan tambahan insentif pajak.
