Textile Entrepreneur: Wage Labor 2017 Up 8.25% It's been Good PDF Print E-mail

Starting January 1, 2017, the workers will pocket the wages of the new scale that is higher than ever. The average increase in 34 provinces throughout Indonesia reached 8.25% .Kalangan businesses in the textile sector and textile products responding positively to it.


Ade Sudrajat, Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) said that the amount of the wage increases are in accordance with the expectations of employers.


"It has been very well manicured. It is to be composed for the business climate. It is important for entrepreneurs," he said.

The magnitude of the increase is more reasonable according to the calculation formula than wage increases previously.


"If they use the KHL (component decent living), until whenever employers and workers will continue to fight. Because there will be no common ground. If you use the current calculation, this is a win-win for employers and workers," he stated.


He also said, to the workers and labor to also receive this calculation basis. According to the UMP is just as the lower limit of wages. While the increase in wages will rise along with the performance of the workers concerned


"The UMP is just safetey net only. Not the absolute wage, so workers do not have to worry if it works nice certainly taken into account," he added.



Pengusaha Tekstil: Upah Buruh 2017 Naik 8,25% Ini Sudah Baik


Mulai 1 Januari 2017, para buruh bakal mengantongi upah dengan besaran baru yang lebih tinggi dari sebelumnya. Rata-rata kenaikan di 34 provinsi di seluruh Indonesia mencapai 8,25%.Kalangan usaha di sektor tekstil dan produk tekstil merespons positif hal tersebut.


Ade Sudrajat, Ketua Asosiasi Pertekstilan Indonesia (API) mengatakan, besaran kenaikan upah tersebut sudah sesuai dengan harapan pengusaha.


"Ini sudah sangat baik ya. Ini menimbulkan ketenangan bagi iklim usaha. Itu yang penting bagi pengusaha," kata dia.

Besaran kenaikan tersebut menurutnya lebih masuk akal ketimbang dengan formula perhitungan kenaikan upah yang berlaku sebelumnya.


"Kalau masih pakai KHL (komponen hidup layak), sampai kapan pun pengusaha dan tenaga kerja akan bertengkar terus. Karena nggak akan ada titik temu. Kalau pakai perhitungan sekarang kan, ini win-win buat pengusaha dan tenaga kerja," sebut dia.


Ia pun mengatakan, kepada para buruh dan tenaga kerja untuk juga bisa menerima dasar penghitungan ini. Menurutnya UMP ini hanya sebagai batas bawah upah. Sementara kenaikan upah akan meningkat seiring dengan peningkatan kinerja buruh yang bersangkutan


"UMP ini hanya sekedar safetey net saja. Bukan upah mutlak. Jadi buruh nggak perlu khawatir kalau kerjanya bagus pasti diperhitungkan," pungkas dia.
