Textile Exports Delayed Caused by Flood In Bandung District PDF Print E-mail

Floods to the Bandung area is very detrimental for the textile manufacturers disrupt production and hinder exports. Ade rate, flooding this year is higher than last year. In fact, the water will get into the plant. However, Ade has not calculated the losses due to the floods that hit the region Bandung. Moreover, flooding is still ongoing.

 

"There are about 29 textile factories affected by the floods and many companies are stopping production. Actually, we are not a holiday, but how can the factory if the surrounding streets and factory floods, from the operation but little production and spend electricity, we better stop," said Chairman the Indonesian Textile Association (API), Ade Sudrajat told reporters in Jakarta, Wednesday (16/11).

 

 

"As a result, in addition to uninterrupted production, shipping textiles and textile products for export so disturbed. In fact, the production of textiles for export should not be stopped because the existing contract with the buyer and the sender," he said.

 

 

"We can not us total, let alone the rainy season will continue until January 2017," said Ade.

 

Indonesia was ranked 17th as a supplier of textiles and textile products the world with a market share of 1.58%. Last year, the export value of textiles and textile products to the world reached US $ 12.28 billion, while in the first half of this year, the export value of US $ 6.22 billion.

 

 

Ekspor Tekstil Terhambat Akibat Banjir Di Wilayah Bandung

 

Bencana banjir yang melanda wilayah Bandung sangat merugikan produsen tekstil karena mengganggu produksi dan menghambat ekspor. Ade menilai, banjir tahun ini lebih tinggi dari tahun lalu. Bahkan, airnya sudah masuk ke dalam pabrik.

 

"Ada sekitar 29 pabrik tekstil terkena banjir dan banyak perusahaan yang menghentikan produksinya. Sebenarnya kita tidak libur, tapi bagaimana bisa ke pabrik jika jalan sekitarnya dan pabriknya banjir, dari pada beroperasi tapi sedikit produksi dan habiskan listrik, lebih baik kita stop," kata Ketua Umum Asosiasi Pertekstilan Indonesia (API), Ade Sudrajat kepada pers di Jakarta, Rabu (16/11).

 

 

"Akibatnya, selain produksi terganggu, pengiriman tekstil dan produk tekstil untuk ekspor jadi terganggu. Padahal, produksi tekstil untuk ekspor tidak boleh berhenti karena sudah ada kontrak dengan pembeli dan pengirimnya," papar dia.

 

Namun, Ade belum menghitung kerugian akibat banjir yang melanda wilayah Bandung. Apalagi, banjir masih berlangsung.

 

"Belum bisa kita total, apalagi musim hujan akan terus berlangsung sampai Januari 2017," ujar Ade.

 

Indonesia masuk urutan ke-17 sebagai pemasok tekstil dan produk tekstil dunia dengan pangsa pasar sebesar 1,58%. Tahun lalu, nilai ekspor tekstil dan produk tekstil ke dunia mencapai US$12,28 miliar, sementara pada semester pertama tahun ini, nilai ekspornya US$6,22 miliar.
