Textile Association: 90 Percent Tanah Abang Goods Imported Products PDF Print E-mail

Indonesian Textile Association (API) complained about a flood of imported goods into the domestic market thus undermining the competitiveness of local businesses. Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) Ade Sudrajat exemplifies the goods are sold cheaply in the Tanah Abang market.

 

He said 90 percent of the products that are in the Tanah Abang market is imported products not made in the country. Imported products include new items, including items that have not been sewn and already sewn.

 

"Many all imported products do not use Indonesa language in label, the label is still there (abroad)," he said.

 

 

The entry of imported products it makes eroded the competitiveness of local entrepreneurs in the domestic market share. Ade said in 2010. Local businessmen control 60 percent of the domestic market. But today, the market share dominance of local businessmen left in figure 30.9 percent.

 

Today API went to the office of President to convey the problems and obstacles in the textile sector. The government wants the sector continue efforts to improve its productivity to hear complaints of textile

 

 

Asosiasi Tekstil: 90 Persen Barang Tanah Abang Produk Impor

 

 

Asosiasi Pertekstilan Indonesia (API) mengeluhkan membanjirnya barang impor ke pasar dalam negeri sehingga melemahkan daya saing pengusaha lokal. Ketua Asosiasi Pertekstilan Indonesia (API) Ade Sudrajat mencontohkan barang-barang yang dijual murah di pasar Tanah Abang.

 

Dia mengatakan 90 persen produk yang berada di Pasar Tanah Abang adalah produk impor bukan buatan dalam negeri. Produk impor itu meliputi barang baru termasuk barang yang belum dijahit dan sudah dijahit.

 

"Macem-macem, semuanya produk impor tidak menggunakan label bahasa indonesa , kan masih label sana (luar negeri)," kata dia di komplek Istana Presiden, Rabu, 7 Oktober 2015.

 

Masuknya produk impor itu membuat daya saing pengusaha lokal tergerus di pangsa pasar domestik. Ade menuturkan pada tahun 2010 . pengusaha lokal menguasai 60 persen pasar dalam negeri. Namun pada hari ini, dominasi pangsa pasar pengusaha lokal tersisa di angka 30,9 persen.

 

Hari ini API mendatangi kantor Presiden untuk menyampaikan permasalahan dan kendala di sektor tekstil. Pemerintah ingin sektor ini terus meningkatkan upaya produktivitasnya dengan mendengar keluhan dari para pengusaha tekstil.
