Tangle apparently still in the shadow of the textile industry and textile / textile industry. Fierce competition with Vietnam and support in making the country increasingly chaotic this industry. Ade Sudrajat, Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) said that the textile industry in Indonesia is still less competitive than Vietnam. Export foreign exchange recorded in 2015 the textile industry in Indonesia still amounted to US $ 12.3 billion. While in Vietnam has reached US $ 29.4 billion in 2015 ago.

GDP contribution for any country textile superior Vietnam as much as 15% by 2014. Meanwhile, in Indonesia in 2015 reached 1.21% contribution.

As one of the contributors to provide employment for 2.8 million people, according to Ade productivity level was still lost. In Indonesia, working hours per week 40 hours, lower than Vietnam as much as 48 hours per week. "Especially in Indonesia plus a lot of time off work in a year," said Ade

Competitiveness adds even more weight because of the energy supporters were also lost. The use of electricity cost US $ 10.5 cents / kWh. While in Vietnam only US $ 7 cents / kWh. Neither of the gas energy to reduce the cost of US $ 9.3 / MMBtu and in Vietnam as much as $ 7.5 / MMBtu. "In the downstream course we are still too many imported cloth and then exported again. And we can create its own fabric, "said Ade.

As a result of the selling price of textile products in Indonesia and Vietnam became different. Ade said the price difference was 10% more expensive has been very influential for investors who want to invest or for prospective buyers.

Therefore, Ade said this year predicted the textile industry will not grow even be negative compared to last year. Ade next year also can not be optimistic that we can grow.

Although in 2017 when there was an investment of preparation ahead of Indonesia Economic Partnership with the European Union. "So there could be an increase in 2018," said Ade.

Tercatat devisa ekspor 2015 industri tekstil di Indonesia masih sebesar US$ 12,3 miliar. Sedangkan di Vietnam sudah mencapai US$ 29,4 miliar per 2015 lalu.

Kontribusi PDB bagi negara pun tekstil Vietnam unggul sebanyak 15% per 2014. Sedangkan di Indonesia pada 2015 kontribusinya baru mencapai 1,21%.

Sebagai salah satu penyumbang tenaga kerja sebanyak 2,8 juta orang tingkat produktivitasnya pun menurut Ade masih kalah.

Penggunaan listrik dari PLN menelan biaya US$ 10,5 sen/kWh. Sedangkan di Vietnam hanya US$ 7 sen/kWh.
