The decline in the price of gas for the textile industry continues to be studied, because it is still hampered by two things namely the swift import and harmonization of taxation, stated the Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartanto. "Textiles have not been discussed. The problem Textile imports swift and considered no avail import facilities producers," Airlangga said here on Thursday.

Thus, further Airlangga, small producers whose production capacity is only import profusely for resale.

Additionally, Airlangga said that problems still occur harmonization of Value Added Tax (VAT), in which the figure is 2.5 per cent for imports and 10 per cent for domestic products.

"So, the difference is 7.5 percent for the garment industry was very significant," said Airlangga.

Meanwhile, Director General of Chemical Industry, Textile and Miscellaneous Industry Ministry Achmad Sigit Dwiwahjono deliver, import the greatest place in the fabric.

In fact, he continued, the textile industry in Indonesia has been integrated from upstream to downstream.

"If the heavy imports, the domestic industry utilization is getting smaller. So, it does need to be regulated," said Sigit.

To that end, the government will discuss it in a meeting to find a solution.

"There will continue to be discussed in the meeting. Inikan not been discussed," he concluded.

Penurunan harga gas industri tekstil terganjal derasnya impor

Penurunan harga gas untuk industri tekstil terus dikaji, karena masih terganjal dua hal yakni derasnya impor dan harmonisasi perpajakan, demikian disampaikan Menteri Perindustrian Airlangga Hartarto. "Tekstil belum selesai dibahas.

Inikan belum dibahas," pungkasnya.
