Ministry of Industry Targets Number of SMEs Rise 4.7% in 2017 PDF Print E-mail

The Ministry of Industry (Ministry of Industry) targeting the Small and Medium Industries (SMI) will rise next year. IKM is an economic crutch resilient global economic crisis. The current global economic downturn, was barely affected SMEs and growth is relatively stable. SME sector's contribution to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased from 57.84% to 60.34% in the last five years.

 

Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartanto, deliver development and strengthening of SMEs will provide economic impact and the positive social effects.

 

"In addition to absorbing a lot of manpower, SMEs are also able to distribute the fruits of development in Indonesia so as to reduce poverty and social inequalities in the society," Airlangga said in a statement on Friday (30/12/2016).

 

SME sector has absorbed most of the labor compared to other sectors. Labor absorption in this sector at the beginning of this year reached 97.22%. Based on data from the Directorate General (DG) IKM Ministry of Industry, the number of SME centers in 2016 as many as 7437 centers. The number of units occupied the center of the largest food businesses (40%), crafts and miscellaneous (23%), and clothing (16%).

 

Entering 2017, the Ministry of Industry business unit targets SMEs as much as 182,000 units to 4.03 million. This number increased to 4.7% of the total SME business units this year.

 

To that end, Airlangga said, the strategic measures do Kemenperin in growing new business unit HPI is through coaching in the form of revitalization to 1,200 SME centers.

 

"We assess the entrepreneurial development of SMEs is very important, because this sector contribute significantly to the growth of industry and national economy. In 2017, we will conduct training, one through revitalization 1,200 SME centers," added Airlangga.

 

The revitalization will be channeled through the Special Allocation Fund (DAK), mentoring Agricultural Extension Workers (WMT), and institutional strengthening centers. In addition, the New Entrepreneurs (WUB) is also expected to grow as many as 5,000 units of business growth and development program WUB.

 

Director General (DG) IKM Ministry of Industry, Gati Wibawaningsih, said the company has targeted a growth of 5,000 units WUB business through the growth and development program WUB. DG 5000 SMEs will facilitate the business unit to get the legality of operations in 2017.

 

"If you already have a legal, the program will run through the central budget and concentration. We are also projecting handover People's Business Credit (KUR) for SMEs in 2017 amounted to Rp 6 trillion to 240,000 units of the business," he concluded

 

 

Kemenperin Targetkan Jumlah IKM Naik 4,7% di 2017

 

 

Pihak Kementerian Perindustrian (Kemenperin) menargetkan jumlah Industri Kecil dan Menengah (IKM) akan naik pada tahun depan. IKM merupakan penopang ekonomi yang tahan krisis ekonomi global. Saat ekonomi global melemah, IKM nyaris tidak terpengaruh dan pertumbuhannya relatif stabil. Kontribusi sektor IKM terhadap Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) meningkat dari 57,84% menjadi 60,34% dalam lima tahun terakhir.

 

Menteri Perindustrian, Airlangga Hartarto, menyampaikan pembinaan dan penguatan IKM akan memberikan dampak ekonomi dan efek sosial yang positif.

 

"Selain menyerap banyak tenaga kerja, IKM juga mampu mendistribusikan hasil-hasil pembangunan di Indonesia sehingga mengurangi kemiskinan dan kesenjangan sosial di masyarakat," ungkap Airlangga dalam keterangannya, Jumat (30/12/2016).

 

Sektor IKM telah menyerap tenaga kerja paling banyak dibandingkan sektor lainnya. Serapan tenaga kerja pada sektor ini di awal tahun ini mencapai 97,22%. Berdasarkan data Direktorat Jenderal (Ditjen) IKM Kemenperin, jumlah sentra IKM tahun 2016 sebanyak 7.437 sentra. Jumlah unit sentra terbanyak diduduki usaha pangan (40%), kerajinan dan aneka (23%), serta sandang (16%).

 

Memasuki 2017, Kemenperin menargetkan pertumbuhan unit usaha IKM sebanyak 182.000 unit menjadi 4,03 juta. Jumlah ini meningkat 4,7% dari jumlah unit usaha IKM tahun ini.

 

Untuk itu, Airlangga menjelaskan, langkah strategis yang dilakukan Kemenperin dalam menumbuhkan unit usaha baru IKM adalah dengan melalui pembinaan dalam bentuk revitalisasi kepada 1.200 sentra IKM.

 

"Kami menilai pengembangan wirausaha IKM sangat penting, karena sektor ini berperan besar terhadap pertumbuhan industri dan ekonomi nasional. Pada tahun 2017, kami akan melakukan pembinaan, salah satunya melalui revitalisasi 1.200 sentra IKM," tambah Airlangga.

 

Revitalisasi tersebut akan disalurkan melalui Dana Alokasi Khusus (DAK), pendampingan Tenaga Penyuluh Lapangan (TPL), dan penguatan kelembagaan sentra. Selain itu, Wirausaha Baru (WUB) juga ditargetkan tumbuh sebanyak 5.000 unit usaha dari program penumbuhan dan pengembangan WUB.

 

Direktur Jenderal (Ditjen) IKM Kemenperin, Gati Wibawaningsih, menuturkan pihaknya telah menargetkan pertumbuhan WUB sebanyak 5.000 unit usaha melalui program penumbuhan dan pengembangan WUB. Ditjen IKM akan memfasilitasi 5.000 unit usaha itu untuk mendapatkan legalitas usaha di 2017.

 

"Jika sudah memiliki legalitas, program itu akan dijalankan melalui anggaran pusat dan dekonsentrasi. Kami juga memproyeksikan penyerahan Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) untuk IKM tahun 2017 sebesar Rp 6 triliun untuk 240.000 unit usaha," pungkasnya
