Indonesian Textile Association (API) estimates that this year the textile industry tended to stagnate. Therefore, the local textile industry has not had access to the European market and other potential countries. Ade Sudrajat Usman, Chairman of API explains that the economy is still volatile, not to mention the onslaught of imported products dominate in the homeland. "Domestic course impact, last year alone the global market demand fell by 10% and this year is predicted to remain stagnant," he said.

Even so the textile industry in Indonesia also did not want to be silent to improve performance in order to keep growing this year. One of them is the efficiency in all lines. "Such a cut logistics costs, the cost of capital expenditure and essentially a lot of things we do in order to be competitive textile industry and competitiveness," said Ade.

2016 saw the achievement of the revenue to the country's textile industry exports amounted to US $ 12.3 billion, while the local market amounted to US $ 10 billion. "Of the total revenue of the local market, 70% is still dominated by imported products," said Ade.

It is undeniable, imported products still dominate in the country. Thus, the textile industry continues to make any breakthrough in order to be competitive.

In line with Ade, PT Asia Pacific Investama Tbk (MYTX) trying to keep growing with efficiency one of them to lower production costs. "In addition to efficiency, we also need to develop new products which could increase demand and also look for new export markets," said Anas Bahfen, Director MYTX.

With the condition is still not too improved, but he is optimistic this year could be better prospects than a year ago that he felt quite heavy. "The selling price rose slowly around 2%, had an impact on our future earnings," said Anas.

Melihat pencapaian tahun 2016 lalu, pendapatan industri tekstil ke negara ekspor sebesar US$ 12,3 miliar, sedangkan pasar lokal sebesar US$ 10 miliar.
