Association of Exporters and Producers of Indonesian Handicraft Pekalongan, Central Java, Indonesia alarming textile market share will shift or seized by other countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia, and Bangladesh.Chairman of  ASEPHI Romi Oktabirawa Pekalongan in Pekalongan, on Tuesday (21/02/2017), said that at present three countries were looking for a breakthrough to capture market share of Indonesian textiles.

 

"Therefore, we must be able to innovate how Indonesian textile industry to remain competitive with other countries. Of course, it also needs support from the government," he said.

 

According to him, the government needs to do and breakthrough solutions to revive the textile industry in the face of competition Indonseia increasingly competitive textile business.

 

In addition, he said, the business development of the textile industry will also be influenced by the political conditions of a country.

 

He admitted during the 80 percent of textile materials Indonesia still imports so that the textile industry is still dependent on the supply of other countries.

 

During this time, he said, the textile industry in Indonesia still relies on the supply of textile materials from China and the United States.

 

"Reliance imported textile materials can certainly be anticipated because Indonesia has many natural resources (SDA), which could be a mainstay," he said.

 

 

Pasar Tekstil Indonesia Dikhawatirkan Digeser Vietnam

 

Asosiasi Eksportir dan Produsen Handicraft Indonesia Kota Pekalongan, Jawa Tengah, mengkhawatirkan pangsa pasar tekstil Indonesia akan bergeser atau direbut oleh negara lain seperti Vietnam, Kamboja, dan Bangladesh.Ketua Asephi Kota Pekalongan Romi Oktabirawa di Pekalongan, Selasa (21/2/2017), mengatakan bahwa saat ini tiga negara tersebut sedang mencari terobosan untuk merebut pangsa pasar tekstil Indonesia.

 

"Oleh karena itu, kami harus mampu berinovasi bagaimana cara pertekstilan Indonesia tetap bisa bersaing dengan negara lain. Tentunya hal ini juga perlu dukungan dari pemerintah," katanya.

 

Menurut dia, pemerintah perlu melakukan solusi dan terobosan untuk menghidupkan industri tekstil Indonseia dalam menghadapi persaingan bisnis tekstil yang semakin kompetitif.

 

Selain itu, kata dia, perkembangan usaha industri pertekstilan juga akan dipengaruhi kondisi politik suatu negara.

 

Ia mengaku selama ini 80 persen bahan tekstil Indonesia masih mengimpor sehingga industri pertekstilan masih bergantung pada pasokan negara lain.

 

Selama ini, kata dia, industri tekstil di Indonesia masih mengandalkan pasokan bahan tekstil dari China dan Amerika Serikat.

 

"Ketergantungan impor bahan tekstil ini tentunya dapat diantisipasi karena Indonesia memiliki banyak sumber daya alam (SDA) yang bisa dijadikan andalan," katanya.
