Lenzing AG Invest in Indonesia Textile Industry PDF Print E-mail

Lenzing AG, Austria-based company reportedly wants to explore investment opportunities in Indonesia. Parent of PT South Pacific Viscose (SPV) will produce tencel, one type of rayon fibers with quality above viscosa are also used as raw material for spun yarn and non-woven in the world whose numbers are still very limited.

 

This was conveyed by Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartanto while receiving the Director of Program Expansion Program Lenzing Group Christian Dressler along with representatives of the Embassy of Austria Clemens Machal at the Ministry of Industry, Jakarta, Wednesday (03.08.17).

 

"They are more expensive for expansion in Indonesia. Maybe it will add a capacity of 300 thousand tons per year with additional special fibers, staple fibers. Here, no one has the production. They will bring new technology, ". Said ArilanggaPT SPV in Indonesia since 1978 has had viscosa rayon fiber factory in Purwakarta, West Java.

 

The Austrian-owned company has been investing in the country about USD 475.58 million to produce as much as 325 thousand tons per year for staple fiber.

 

SPV operates as a producer of staple fiber and sodium sulphate viscosa since 1982 to absorb employment reached 1,746 people.

 

According to the Minister of Airlangga, the Lenzing Group had asked about the fiscal incentives will be given to those investments.

 

"In addition to Indonesia, they are also eyeing Thailand because there offer some incentives. Then, they ask anyway assurance related to the sustainability of raw materials and energy tariffs. If energy than Thailand, we are higher, "he said.

 

Director General of Chemical Industry, Textile and Miscellaneous (IKTA) Achmad Sigit Dwiwahjono explained, rayon fiber production investment viscosa can obtain tax allowance facility.

 

It refers to Government Regulation No. 18 of 2015 and were renewed by PP 9 in 2016 and its implementation regulations.

 

"By also referring to Permenperin No. 48 in 2015, they were entitled to be tax allowance due to the provision of investment in the textile industry at least Rp 100 billion, while their investment plans amounting to 300 million euros, "said Sigit (10.03.17).

 

Sigit also added, the PT SPV middle of selecting locations industrial development in some areas of West Java and Central Java.

 

Sigit said, no longer ruling the cooperation of two countries for this investment will be determined. Sigit hope, with the inclusion of such investments if it can strengthen the structure of the domestic textile industry.

 

"Within three months of this will be decided. Hopefully we can go to Indonesia. If so entered, this investment strengthens our textile industry structure capable of production because the fabrics are high grade, "he said.

 

 

Lenzing AG Inves di Industri Tekstil Indonesia

 

 

Lenzing AG, perusahaan asal Austria dikabarkan ingin menjajaki peluang investasi di Indonesia. Induk dari PT South Pacific Viscose (SPV) ini akan memproduksi tencel, salah satu jenis serat rayon dengan kualitas di atas viscosa yang juga digunakan sebagai bahan baku benang pintal dan non-woven yang jumlahnya di dunia masih sangat terbatas.

 

Hal tersebut disampaikan oleh Menteri Perindustrian Airlangga Hartarto saat menerima kunjungan dari Program Director Expansion Program Lenzing Group Christian Dressler beserta perwakilan dari Kedutaan Besar Austria Clemens Machal di Kementerian Perindustrian, Jakarta, Rabu (8/3/17).

 

“Mereka lagi mempertimbangkan untuk ekspansi di Indonesia. Mungkin akan tambah kapasitas 300 ribu ton per tahun dengan special additional fibers, staple fibers. Di sini belum ada yang produksi. Mereka akan bawa teknologi baru,”. Kata ArilanggaPT SPV berdiri di Indonesia sejak tahun 1978 ini telah memiliki pabrik serat rayon viscosa di Purwakarta, Jawa Barat.

 

Perusahaan milik Austria ini telah menanamkan modalnya di Tanah Air sekitar USD 475,58 juta dengan memproduksi sebanyak 325 ribu ton per tahun untuk serat stapel.

 

SPV beroperasi sebagai produsen serat stapel viscosa dan sodium sulfat sejak 1982 dengan menyerap tenaga kerja mencapai 1.746 orang.

 

Menurut Menteri Airlangga, pihak Lenzing Group sempat menanyakan mengenai insentif fiskal yang akan diberikan untuk investasi tersebut.

 

“Selain Indonesia, mereka juga melirik Thailand karena di sana menawarkan beberapa insentif. Kemudian, mereka meminta pula kepastian terkait keberlangsungan bahan baku dan tarif energi. Kalau energi dibanding Thailand, kita lebih tinggi,” ungkapnya.

 

Dirjen Industri Kimia, Tekstil, dan Aneka (IKTA) Achmad Sigit Dwiwahjono menjelaskan, investasi produksi serat rayon viscosa dapat memperoleh fasilitas tax allowance.

 

Hal itu mengacu pada Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 18 tahun 2015 dan yang diperbaharui melalui PP No. 9 tahun 2016 serta peraturan pelaksanaanya.

 

“Dengan juga mengacu kepada Permenperin No. 48 tahun 2015, mereka berhak dapat tax allowance karena untuk ketentuan investasi di industri tekstil minimal Rp 100 miliar, sedangkan rencana investasi mereka sebesar 300 juta Euro,” Kata Sigit (10/3/17).

 

Sigit juga menambahkan, pihak PT SPV tengah memilih lokasi pembangunan industrinya di beberapa wilayah Jawa Barat dan Jawa Tengah.

 

Kata Sigit, tidak lama lagi keputusan kerjasama dua negara untuk investasi ini akan ditetapkan. Sigit berharap, dengan masuknya investasi tersebut sekiranya dapat memperkuat struktur industri tekstil dalam negeri.

 

“Dalam waktu tiga bulan ini akan diputuskan. Semoga bisa masuk ke Indonesia. Kalau jadi masuk, investasi ini memperkuat struktur industri tekstil kita karena mampu produksi kain-kain yang high grade,” tuturnya.
