Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) Semarang, Agung Wahono, asking for textile entrepreneurs exploring opportunities in the Middle East market to anticipate a decline in exports to major countries like the US and Europe. "If there is a chance to get in there, so hopes are taken. Because if exports in Europe and other major countries fell, the Middle East could be an option," he said.

According to him, demand for products from several countries in the Middle East is pretty good. Countries where demand is high enough that Turkey and Egypt. However, the two countries are not the main export destination countries of Central Java.

Main export destination countries in Central Java, he added, is still dominated by the US, China, and Japan. In fact, so far still the textile products with the highest export value compared to other products.

"The arrival of the king Salman yesterday, it was also an opportunity that could be exploited by employers. Of course, every new opportunities there will be challenges. Depending on how the entrepreneurs through the challenge," he said.

When asked about the suitable products in the Middle East, Agung said, the religious products such as gloves and scarf or produl with raw materials of silk.

"Not all products can go in there, only a select few. In fact, not all businessmen are able to penetrate export to the Middle East. However, we expect the visit of King Salman yesterday be a good opportunity for the textile industry," he hoped.
