Weaving and batik industry is able to make a significant contribution to the national economy, with export value reaching US $ 151.7 million during 2016 ago. This information was conveyed by Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartanto in his speech at the opening of the exhibition Adiwastra Nusantara 2017 .

Airlangga disclosed, the ministry middle of a performance boost export-oriented labor-intensive industries. Because the industry as it is able to provide a multiplier effect for the distribution of welfare of society, including through employment.

 

Through a written statement, Airlangga convey it had set ten labor-intensive industries and export-oriented development priority in 2017, one of which the creative industries. The other is the footwear industry, food industry and beverage industry wooden and rattan furniture, electronics and telematics, industrial finished goods of rubber, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and traditional medicines, miscellaneous industry, industrial processing of fish and seaweed, as well as the textile industry and textile products (TPT).

 

Since a few years ago, the textile industry is indeed one of the main components of the national industrial development, which has three important roles, namely foreign exchange earner non-oil exports, employment, and meet domestic needs.

 

The textile industry is also a provider of industrial large enough jobs in the country, especially the apparel industry (garments). Workers absorbed by large and medium scale industries in 2012 alone as many as 1.53 million people in the textile sector and about 520 thousand people in the apparel sector (garment).

 

Meanwhile, according to data from the Indonesian Textile Association (API), in 2011 the growth of the textile industry of 7.5% or is above the average growth of the manufacturing industry which is about 6.2%. In 2012, the growth of the textile industry is still positive, although the value is lower than in 2011 at 4.19% or slightly below the average growth of the manufacturing industry amounted to 5.73%.

 

The garment industry also became one of the highest export foreign exchange earner,

 

with the value of exports in the last five years of always reaching US $ 6 billion. In 2012 alone, the value of the garment industry exports reached US $ 7.18 billion, or 57.65% of the total national textile exports.

 

"In 2013, the export value reached US $ 7.30 billion, or nearly 60 percent of total exports of textiles and textile products nationwide," said Director General of the Ministry of Industry Manufacturing Industries, Harjanto, last in May 2013.

 

In the textile industry, the garment has become part of the biggest contribution. Currently, of the 1.5 million workers who are absorbed by the textile industry of large and medium scale, about one-third or 500,000 of whom are absorbed by the garment industry.

 

 

Kain Berkontribusi Pada Ekonomi Indonesia

 

 

Industri tenun dan batik mampu memberikan kontribusi cukup besar terhadap perekonomian nasional, dengan nilai ekspor yang mencapai US$ 151,7 juta sepanjang tahun 2016 lalu. Informasi ini disampaikan Menteri Perindustrian Airlangga Hartarto dalam sambutannya pada pembukaan pameran Adiwastra Nusantara 2017 di Jakarta, Rabu (5/4). “Sebagai kontributor bagi pertumbuhan industri kreatif, para pengrajin kain tradisional asli Indonesia tersebut didorong untuk terus meningkatkan produktivitas dan inovasi agar lebih berdaya saing di pasar domestik dan internasional,” tuturnya.

 

Diungkapkan Airlangga, kementeriannya tengah memacu kinerja industri padat karya berorientasi ekspor. Karena, industri seperti itu mampu memberikan efek berganda bagi pemerataan kesejahteraan masyarakat, antara lain melalui penyerapan tenaga kerja.

 

Melalui keterangan tertulis, Airlangga menyampaikan pihaknya telah menetapkan sepuluh industri padat karya dan berorientasi ekspor yang diprioritaskan pengembangannya pada tahun 2017 ini, salah satunya industri kreatif. Yang lainnya adalah industri alas kaki, industri makanan dan minuman, industri furnitur kayu dan rotan, industri elektronika dan telematika, industri barang jadi karet, industri farmasi, kosmetik dan obat tradisional, industri aneka, industri pengolahan ikan dan rumput laut, serta industri tekstil dan produk tekstil (TPT).

 

Sejak beberapa tahun lampau, industri TPT memang merupakan salah satu komponen utama pembangunan industri nasional, yang memiliki tiga peran penting, yaitu penyumbang devisa ekspor nonmigas, penyerapan tenaga kerja, dan pemenuhan kebutuhan dalam negeri.

 

Industri TPT juga menjadi industri penyedia lapangan kerja yang cukup besar di Tanah Air, terutama industri pakaian jadi (garmen). Tenaga kerja yang terserap oleh industri skala besar dan menengah pada tahun 2012 saja sebanyak 1,53 juta orang di sektor TPT dan sekitar 520 ribu orang di sektor pakaian jadi (garmen).

 

Sementara itu, menurut data Asosiasi Pertekstilan Indonesia (API), pada tahun 2011 pertumbuhan industri TPT sebesar 7,5% atau berada di atas rata-rata pertumbuhan industri manufaktur yang sekitar 6,2%. Pada tahun 2012, pertumbuhan industri TPT masih positif, meskipun nilainya lebih rendah dari tahun 2011 sebesar 4,19% atau sedikit berada di bawah rata-rata pertumbuhan industri manufaktur sebesar 5,73%.

 

Industri garmen juga turut menjadi salah satu penyumbang devisa ekspor tertinggi,

 

dengan nilai ekspor dalam kurun waktu lima tahun terakhir selalu mencapai US$ 6 miliar. Pada tahun 2012 saja, nilai ekspor industri garmen mencapai US$ 7,18 miliar atau 57,65% dari total ekspor TPT nasional.

 

“Pada tahun 2013, nilai ekspornya mencapai US$ 7,30 miliar atau hampir 60 persen dari total ekspor tekstil dan produk tekstil nasional,” kata Direktur Jenderal Basis Industri Manufaktur Kementerian Perindustrian, Harjanto, Mei 2013 lalu.

 

Di industri tekstil, garmen memang menjadi bagian yang memberikan sumbangan terbesar. Saat ini, dari sebanyak 1,5 juta tenaga kerja yang diserap oleh industri tekstil berskala besar dan menengah, sekitar sepertiga atau 500.000 orang di antaranya diserap oleh industri garmen.
