Lebaran gives a significant impact on garment or textile sales. Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) Ade Sudrajat said ahead of Lebaran this year, textile sales increased by about 10 percent with sales reaching Rp 2 trillion to Rp 3 trillion.

He said Lebaran moment is the harvest season and the most awaited because it can increase sales but after Lebaran, resale decreased.

"Only Lebaran can be expected, after Lebaran resale sluggish," he said.

He said the domestic textile market is still dominated by imported products, nearly 70 percent of imported products flood the market. The price of imported products is cheaper but the quality is low.

He asked the government to tighten surveillance at the port to prevent attacks. Product value.

"In the last five years, the textile market can no longer compete because it is attacked by imported products," he said.

He explained that the perpetrators of textiles continue to increase exports to European countries, the goal is to make sales higher.

Meanwhile, Minister of Industry of Airlangga Hartarto said textile and textile product exports in January-February 2017 reached US $ 2 billion.

In 2016, TPT value reached Rp 7.54 trillion with foreign exchange reaches US $ 11 billion and absorbed 17 percent of the total manufacturing workforce.

In addition, many textile factories continue to expand such as PT Sri Rejeki Isman in Solo.

Penjualan Tekstil Berpotensi Naik 10% Saat Lebaran
