Head of North Sulawesi Industry and Trade Agency (Sulut) Jenny Karouw said that exporters in the area should glance at the Middle East market because the region is very potential.

"Indeed there are currently some Middle Eastern countries that are destined for export of North Sulawesi, but must be more developed," said Jenny in Manado.

He said exporters of North Sulawesi should increase the delivery of superior goods to the Middle East market because of its large potential, and able to increase foreign exchange for the country.

Jenny said the Middle East is a potential market for various export commodities. This will continue to achieve high export performance targets in the next few years.

Middle East countries are being targeted exports such as Bahrain, Cyprus, Egypt, Turkey, Iran (Persia), Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Yemen and Palestine.

Of these countries, he said, there have been several destinations to export commodities Sulutengan Israel, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Yemen and Turkey.

"And the rest will be managed in North Sulawesi this year," he explained.

Pelaku Ekspor Sulut Harus Bidik Pasar Timur Tengah

Negara-negara Timur Tengah menjadi target ekspor seperti Bahrain, Siprus, Mesir, Turki, Iran (Persia), Irak, Israel, Yordania, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Arab Saudi, Suriah, Uni Emirat Arab, Yaman dan Palestina.
